I saw Endgame yesterday

Not spoilery.
For some reason, Odeon played the end of Red Joan instead of adverts before the main movie. It's not a film I intended to go see but if I had I would have been annoyed as the played the last half an hour or so. I'll cut them some slack as that point the projection staff must have been working solid for well over a day as Endgame was showing constantly since midnight, but really. Why show a current movie? It makes no sense and people kept walking out of the screen thinking they'd gone into the wrong one.
And onto
Things I liked.
I loved the final battle scene and the moment the extended cast began to appear gave me goosebumps. Steve alone and looking like he was facing imminent defeat and then, 'on your left'
Loved Steve being able to wield Mjolnir, and in fact, many people in the audience cheered at that which was a lovely moment.
Scott was fabulous throughout. I love how he's so obviously out of his depth often, and yet never backs away from danger.
I liked how Steve had his besties with him at the end, Bucky knowing Steve probably wasn't coming back as planned and being at peace with that. And Sam being given the shield. I knew it happened in comic universe but wasn't expecting it in the movies.
Not sure about Steve living his life with Peggy. On one hand, yeah, it's a nice thought to finally get with the love of his life. But Peggy had lived a full and apparently happy life herself. Was it really Steve's decision to change that? Would he have changed that? Time travel and time offshoots are complicated.
Things I didn't like.
I really didn't like the fat Thor jokes. I do like Thor's humour and he makes me laugh, but he's so much more than a comical character and I think they did him a disservice in this film. He had very real mental health issues due to very bad things happening and understandably retreated from the world drinking and putting on weight in the process. The jokes about that really missed the mark with me.
I did like him ending with the GotG though, because yeah, we all know who is in charge.
Natasha dying. Okay, so, Hawkeye is my favourite character and I would have been gutted if he died, but it would have made sense if he did so. I know that there was that fight for which one was going to sacrifice themselves so it wasn't a case of him picking himself over Natasha but still didn't like how Natasha died.
Talking of Clint, I actually didn't mind his new look in the slightest and think his murderous rampage before Natasha pulled him back in made sense in terms of him losing his family. Really, I just love their friendship and how it seems to be one that can survive despite so much time apart.
My heart ached for at Tony's death scene, with Peter, and then Pepper. Tony was never one of my favourites, but it still hurt to see him go.
Overall I liked it, and that battle scene was amazing. But some elements I could have done without.
I'm seeing it again on Monday, and I'll time my toilet break differently so I'll see more of Tony with his dad. I don't think I've ever rushed to the toilet so fast in the cinema. It didn't help we were in one of the highest rows which led to lots of fast stair climbing.
