It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday, so I decided to head out for a walk, and managed to more than double my usual step count and also sunburn myself, too. Of course, not that I realised until I was home and saw not only did I have a red chest where my top wasn't covering skin, but a red face too. This morning I woke up stiff, still a bit sore and mentally telling myself off again. And the sun lotion will be getting dug out and put next to the door. But man, it was worth it.

I went on a big loop that included going through the main cemetery, so I stopped off to say hello to nanna and grandad and tidy their plot a little. Explored streets I don't tend to visit very often at all and all around was blue sky, sunshine and trees in blossom, see. Hitting the main town I saw two police-officers on pushbikes questioning someone sitting on a bench. It was the first active policing of the restrictions I've seen and while I'm glad they're taking things seriously, I'm also glad they seemed fine to let the older man continue to sit on the bench enjoying the sunshine without moving him on.

I went home the way that meant I didn't have to walk through the main shopping area, so by missing that it just felt like a very quiet sunny day and I very much enjoyed my walk. Especially so as the few people I met were great at socially distancing so I never came close to anyone at any time.

James has been wearing his new uniform for his last set of shifts, and as much as I hate those white dress shirts, I have to admit they do look smart. Though not so much when he gets home after a long shift sitting at his desk. A woman at work does dressmaking too and she's cut down his work trousers so they're now work shorts, though as they're long they're more like work capris. But, he's comfortable in them so that's all that matters. He's having issues with the buttons though and his usual button fastener isn't long enough, so I'm on the hunt for a longer one, while the lady has taken back a pair of the shorts to move the buttonhole to see if that helps.

It looks like it's going to be another lovely sunny day, so I see time in the garden in my future. I'm reading a Christmas based book atm and it feels a bit weird when I'm sitting in the sun with a cold drink reading about snow and festivities. But, Christmas will always make me feel happy so I'm satisfied with my choice.
