I'm so incredibly glad that I jammed an old fence post between the ground and next door's fence because man, Storm Malik is no joke. It hasn't been long since I put the garden right after the last big storm and now it's a mess again.

Murphy thinks all his birthdays have come at once though, because due to location, in front of my house looks like a leaf version of the final game inside the dome of Crystal Maze.

Thankfully I have nowhere I need to be today so I'm staying in where it's safe and warm. I also saw Festivids have gone live and have just watched all four for TaskMaster and enjoyed them loads. They also show Alex Horne is a national treasure who is apparently willing to do anything to help in a task.

Also, so many more videos and fandoms in the rest of the collection. I may be there for a long time.

ETA: OMG, What We Do In the Shadows done to It's Gonna Be Me. Talk about relevant to my interests!

The wind is horrible. I'm tempted to shut the blinds so I can't see the damage it's doing to my garden right now.

Murphy is funny. He looks like a meerkat standing up on the chest in front of the window. Even Milo was watching the leaves from the couch and normally he's well past doing that.

thanks for pointing out that Festivids is live! I had to watch the What We Do In the Shadows vid, even though I've never seen it. all I knew vaguely was 'vampires' but that looks like it could be campy fun

Thankfully the wind has started to die down now, but looking at Facebook a lot of damage has been done again. But I was very glad to stay inside where it was safe.

What We Do In the Shadows is very much campy fun. It's a show that doesn't take itself seriously at all and I love that.

Enjoy, it's what I've been doing for a lot of the afternoon.

Thankfully there was no actual damage in the garden, though all the pots had been blown around again. But I'm very glad I shored up the fence as it would have been down otherwise.

I enjoyed watching Festivids. There's some fantastic stuff over there.

Most of the contents of my garden are... not where they are supposed to be. I'm grateful we only caught the edge of it! Although I see we have another one rolling in tomorrow...

I, in a fit of wisdom, took the dogs on a five mile tromp today :D Fortunately, I think the worse of it was basically passed by the time we went out. Thank god my dogs are lazy!

Yeah, I saw another storm is heading our way too. My garden is like yours, no damage but nothing is where it's supposed to be. I haven't picked the planters up either due to this new storm.

Gah, I'm glad you missed the worst of the storm. I only walked to the car and back and got caught in a gust that made me fast walk or fall over. Wind can be scary.

I can confirm that tonight's wind is foul (and I too picked nothing up today; I didn't see the point!). Let's see how things look in the morning...

It's still sitting in an open tab, waiting for me. A curse on work, interfering with my weekend!

It's been completely wild - and we're just waiting for Storm Corrie starting at around 6 - I suspect my colleague up north of Aberdeen may not have power again (her parents in law have an old farmstead and keep a generator, so her family should be okay, but still!). I was out for a walk this lunchtime and there's such a lot of stuff down and trees leaning at new angles.

I feel for the people losing power. It has to be horrible just sitting and waiting for the wind to hit knowing it can cause such damage.

One big tree and a load of fences came down in my town, so we were lucky. The wind can be a scary thing and I hope you come through Storm Corrie with nothing damaged.

Storm Malik touched us a bit last night but it looks like we escaped mostly undamaged this time. I'm glad it sounds like you did too.

I bet Murphy would have loved to chase all those flying leaves! It was one of Lancecat's favourite pastimes in autumn and winter.

Thank you for reminding me of Festivids! I took a quick look right now but I'll have to remember to check it out more carefully tomorrow. There were some Babylon 5 vids that looked interesting. And I totally need to watch that vid using It's Gonna Be Me even though I've no interest in the fandom!

For such a strong storm we were lucky with no actual damage, just things tossed around in the garden again. I've seen some videos of houses a few towns over that had their roofs ripped off. Wind can be horrible. I'm glad you escaped with no damage too.

Murphy would have been in his element leaf chasing. It's such a cat thing to do.

Festivids have so many videos it'll take forever to watch everything that catches my eye. The It's Gonna Be Me one is fun. I've watched it a few times now.

We lucked out and missed the huge storm that hit the east coast. We got less than an inch of snow; Boston got just under two feet. o_O

Yeah, two storms so close together wasn't fun. But at least they're over now with disruption not actual damage in the garden.

I can hardly comprehend two feet of snow coming down in one storm. The UK grinds to a stop if we get two mm.
