turpsI was waiting for my appointment yesterday when a person-sized teddy bear walked by the waiting area. It was quite a surprise looking up and seeing that. Talking to the volunteer driver on the way home it turns out St Benedicts has its own mascot and I assume must have been going to see someone in the actual inpatient bit. The teddy waved at me when it went by, so of course, I had to wave back as I was the only person there. Then it came back and waved again. Then came back and waved once more for good luck.
Today Sunderland are playing in the play-off final down at Wembley, so James has gone to The Stack to watch the game along with all my in-laws. I don't mind watching football but they were having to go for 10 to get a table, and the kick-off isn't until 3, so I would have given it a pass even without my clown feet. Still, I hope they win, so I'm listening via the radio and, ha'way the lads!
I was catching up on Taskmaster and Chris' sausage cement mixer creased me up. This really has been a fantastic season so far. I enjoy all the contestants, even the ones I didn't know at all at the start.
