Sep. 9th, 2022 04:58 pmMy brother and his work partner just went an hour or so ago and my kitchen now has kickboards and trim around the units and they've started to work on the big cupboard that houses the freezer. They're going to put new trim on and a door to match the units and it'll look so smart when it's done.
The cupboard used to contain the boiler back in the day so is a big space with two deep shelves. Because it's such a big space I store a lot in there and Chris was laughing saying I was ready for the zombie apocalypse. But, with prices shooting up I do stock up on things at times. My three points are, will I use it? Will it store? Is it cheap? If all three of those are yes, you know I'll buy lots. For example, I have a load of passata as I use it lots, it has long dates and Farm Foods was selling it for 19p.
I asked Chris if mocking kitchen contents was something all his customers get, but apparently, it's a sib-only thing *g*
He also found one of my old The Sentinel zines down the side of the freezer. How the hell it got there I don't know, I was just thankful it was a gen cover because some of the Come to Your Senses series I had were a bit explicit.
The offer was too good to pass up and I signed up for Disney + earlier. I haven't really checked it out yet as I've been busy today but no doubt will do that tonight. I feel some 911 Lonestar will happen at that point.
It's also a good time due to the continuing 24/7 coverage about the Queen's death and Charles becoming King. Some of that has been interesting, especially seeing the things I'd read about in Operation London Bridge actually happen in reality. But there's only so much you can watch without needing something else.
On a different note. The Lush Advent calendar is out but as always all I can do is look and admire as it's £185 which is ridiculous. I think I will treat myself to one of the new Halloween products though, maybe the adorable Vampire bubble bar
Which reminds me. It's no secret that I love Christmas, but even I draw the line at one of the music channels switching to 24/7 Christmas music at the beginning of September. Too soon, man. Too soon!
