Oct. 15th, 2022 08:20 amMilo was supposed to have his nails clipped yesterday, but all the clinical staff from the vets he goes to have come down with Covid so they had to cancel everyone's appointments. He's booked in for Tuesday now, and hopefully no more tip-tapping by Tuesday night.
Kayleigh, Lucy and Bodhi arrived back from Butlins yesterday too, so no more cat-looking-after duties for me. It was supposed to be once a day but ended up morning and night. They only live a five-minute drive away so it wasn't a hard thing to do but did mean the evening visit I went there in my PJs a few times. Sadly, one night, someone came into the garden and took her firepit, they left the grate and lid so I have a feeling it was a scrap man as the firepit was big and heavy. Thankfully, none of Bodhi's outside toys or garden furniture had been taken, but it did stress them out a little while they were away.
James is doing much better. He could take the pressure dressing off on Monday and now has a normal dressing on, just to ensure the wound stays dry and clean. This leads to fussing when I have to change it as part of the dressing is on his beard line so doesn't stick well. At which point I'm mean wife and just whip the dressing off when it curls at one end. He's also tried to frighten the life out of me by attempting to pick something off the floor from standing -- which was never going to go well -- unbalanced and bashed his head on the fireplace. And then despite me telling him to be careful of the uneven floor when getting out of the car, tripped up and fell, very thankfully, landing against the car itself. But omg, be careful!
Thursday we met Pauline and her daughter for lunch at the local walk-in clinic, so we're getting out and about locally again.
Nothing has changed kitchen-wise, but we have had a quote for the flooring, and that guy said to get at least another quote before accepting his, so another man was here yesterday and we're waiting for his quote too.
The Lion King touring production is coming to our local theatre next spring and I'm dithering over buying tickets. I've got the early access link and am so tempted because it looks like a great show and I really do enjoy going to the theatre.
I'm still watching House of the Dragon but each time it ends I have to look up recaps to find out what the hell is going on, and the time jumps don't help. I'm still enjoying it but TV should not be so complicated.
