H/C -- I suspect 99% of my flist could answer this for me as this is my top pick always. It's just something I've loved to read for pretty much all of my life. It's not something that developed, but something that feels was always there, and was then started to be honed by the Hardy Boys books I devoured when I was a youngster, simply because they did provide excellent h/c fodder. So finding fanfic, where h/c is such a huge and well-written thing was a case of feeling like, hello, I'm home.
Found Family -- Also a great love of mine, the crafting of a family that's bound by love, respect and liking one another and not just by blood. You can't beat it.
Best Friends to lovers -- Always excellent times.
And many more, but that's my top top and two others I like loads.
While it's still cold it's not as cold as it has been recently so this afternoon I've been out in the garden picking up leaves and just generally tidying up a little. I was pleased to see so many green shoots appearing in the raised beds and containers, no idea what they are of course as I just keep planting bulbs where I can find space. But it is a nice reminder spring does always come back at some point.
At least the day got better. It started with me making a pot of coffee and not actually adding any coffee to the filter. I was most taken aback when I went to pour and saw I had hot water only.

This time of the year we really need all the reminders we can get that there WILL be spring this year too!
Ooops? I did the same thing with my morning tea last week - completely forgot to add tea leaves before I put the strainer in the mug. I couldn't understand why my tea looked so weak!

Found family is great, too.
The signs of spring are so encouraging. Last time I was out for a walk I saw snowdrops, and I love those.

I'm glad it's not just me that has done that *g*
