I really didn't want to get up this morning, but sadly the alarm was insistent I did so.
Cat sitting is still going well, though I'm glad Megan's antibiotics are finished today. We've got into a nice routine now, but it does mean earlier starts than usual, and eating later at night.
Kayleigh, Lucy and Bodhi are having a nice holiday though, and I've been sent some lovely photos. They did have a bit of a dicey start when they thought the cyst was filling up again under Bodhi's tongue, so much so they actually looked into coming home early. But that seems to have settled down. I do suspect they're going to push for an earlier appointment than the end of April once they're home, as the issue needs to be sorted.
Yesterday was a day, and one that needs to be left in the past. One part was my MiL phoning and saying my SiL was getting her windows in next Thursday so could she come to stay from Wednesday night to Friday night? Instead, as Thursday is James' day off he suggested we pick her up early Thursday morning and take her back on the night. She seemed a little put out at the suggestion at the time, but it does make sense. Otherwise, he'd be driving from work to pick her up, not getting home until nearly 8pm, and having another late night after work on Friday to take her back to my Sil's, While the way we suggested we can spend the day together when he's not already tired after a full day at work.
Happier things.
turlough sent me an adorable knitted Easter Bunny. Thank you so much! ♥
It's behind the cut, along with some cat photos while I'm uploading pictures.
So adorable!

This photo of Murphy cracks me up.

I thought I'd show you the cats I've been cat-sitting. This is Aeriel, she's a very old lady now.

And this is Megan. She always looks furious but is actually a very lovely cat.

Date: 2023-03-24 05:35 pm (UTC)You're right, it does.
Sometimes I wonder if Murphy has a brain cell in his head, so whatever he's plotting will be simplistic and probably involve food *g*

Date: 2023-03-25 12:06 pm (UTC)Murphy is making me cackle. Aerial looks like she knows how to have a good time. Her vibes are excellent. And Megan is very fluffy and therefore perfect!

Date: 2023-03-25 01:16 pm (UTC)Aeriel loves hanging out in the bath, or lying with her head propped against the front door. But she's old, she's allowed to do what she wants, however strange. Megan is a ball of fluff, she's actually quite a small cat under all that fur.

Date: 2023-03-25 01:13 pm (UTC)Megan always looks furious, I think it's the pattern on her nose that makes it look like she's always frowning. Which is a shame as she is lovely.

Date: 2023-03-25 03:32 pm (UTC)Murphy looks like he's up to no good... LOL. It would be funny to put him and Ozzie together. Probably a good thing that can't happen as I fear they'd certainly wreak havoc together.
Cute kitties! Even though you visit daily, I'm glad they have each other for company.

You're not wrong! I can imagine them causing a load of trouble together *g*
Yeah, you can tell they're missing having someone actually in the house. I'm there morning and night and always stay for a bit but they'd like more company. So, it is good they have each other.

Date: 2023-03-26 04:11 pm (UTC)So good to hear that they're having a nice holiday. I'll keep my fingers crossed they'll be able to get a much earlier appointment to get rid of the cyst. It must be so uncomfortable for poor Bodhi!
Family! *sigh*
I'm so happy you like your Easter bunny! I had so much fun knitting both her and all her clothes.
The photo of Murphy is totally hilarious! He looks like he's plotting so much mayhem!
Hi, Aeriel and Megan! You're both such pretty kitties!

Date: 2023-03-27 12:58 pm (UTC)What makes it worse is we use our Alexa for the alarm and when you tell her to stop, she cheerfully says, 'good morning sunshine!' sometimes I want to throw her out of the window.
Sadly the cyst has got much bigger and I think Kayleigh and Lucy are going to take Bodhi straight to the hospital when they land. I really do hope they take it out as an emergency case as you're right, it must be so uncomfortable.
The Easter Bunny is adorable! She's sitting on my desk right now.
That photo captures Murphy's character perfectly.
And yeah, Megan and Aeriel really are pretty, and have been really good this last week.

Date: 2023-05-03 12:11 pm (UTC)Yeah, she was fine with it in the end and we did have a nice day out.
I know I tend to mention losing my chair etc when she stays over, but I honestly don't mind when she stays here. Though the time it was for two weeks was pushing it having guests wise. But sometimes I don't think she realises just how tired James gets after work. A ten hour shift with an hour commute either side leads to a long day, which would be longer still if he had to pick her up after work. So to me, it was obvious that time it would be much easier to just have a day thing.
Murphy is a little weirdo sometimes *g*
