It's May tomorrow and our car still hasn't been fixed from where the taxi rolled into it on Boxing Day. The whole thing is stupid and the insurance company has escalated a complaint towards the repair company who are apparently incompetent to the extreme. It's lucky the car just has cosmetic damage and can be driven, but even so, I'll be glad when Rosie is scuff and dent-free and doesn't have a binbag and tape protecting the back of her wing mirror.

The streaming services wouldn't work last night so I couldn't get my Ted Lasso fix. Sky was fine, the actual internet was fine, but no videos would stream. The last ep I saw was the season two Man City loss and I knew fandom would come up with the goods giff'ed hug-wise, and it so did.

We went to see The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry yesterday. It was gentle and involving and I enjoyed it. I also saw Odeon are selling excellent Guardians light-up popcorn buckets and despite knowing they're overpriced, I highly suspect one will be coming back with me next Friday.

It's another cold, wet, dreary day. But I see that part of the country has been warm and sunny today, so hopefully that sunshine makes its way up north tomorrow. Not that I have plans for the bank holiday, but I'd like some actual warmth again, and so would my poor outside plants.

I love listening to Tom Grennan and have been listening to his albums today, also this Gospel version of his song Remind Me is pretty fabulous.

How frustrating about the car repair.

That trailer made me tear up.

The weather here sucks so hard! Cool and rain. I've had enough of it! Where is the sunshine?!!

The car repair is getting ridiculous. The complaints department promised that they'd phone on Friday, one of his days off, but didn't. Plus, they're only open 9-5 Monday to Friday and James works 8-6, and can't answer his phone so goodness knows when they'll actually get in touch.

It was a sad film.

I know, I want sunshine too. This cool and rain seems to have lasted for months now.

The situation with the car is ridiculous. The insurance company agreed the repairs at the end of Jan. Which admittedly, was a long time since the accident but Christmas/New Year held things up then Rosie needed to be assessed to see what the damage actually was and what needed repairing/replacing.

But since then we've been stuck in a situation where despite the insurance company agreeing the repairs -- and James has text messages from them saying that -- the actual car repairers are saying they're not getting emailed permission from the insurance, so nothing is happening.

So two weeks ago a complaint was escalated, but again nothing has happened because the complaint dept is only open Mon-Fri between 9-5 and James works 8-6, so they keep trying to phone him at work.

It's all kinds of frustrating.

How utterly frustrating for you that Rosie STILL haven't been fixed!! The whole situation sounds absolutely ridiculous. Can't the complaings department use email?!

Sad to hear you too are having dreary weather. This has been such a long and cold spring! I'll keep my fingers crossed it will get warmer soon!

You'd think so, but it seems not. Instead they keep phoning, this is despite being told James is at work until Friday and can't answer his phone. Watch, he's off tomorrow and they won't call.

It has been a cold and long spring. I've been covering the seedlings in the greenshouse so they're doing okay, but still behind from where they should be at this point.
