I've been doing some decluttering today, and earlier took a file cabinet to the recycling shop at the dump. The thing was heavy, and I made the mistake of trying to lift it into the car with the drawers still in place. Not only was it too heavy to lift, the drawers slid back onto my fingers, and now I have a line of bruises between my knuckles.

But, once I did take the drawers out it was easy enough to get into the car, so one big thing gone. Plus, a broken portable tv was taken to be left at the actual dump. Tomorrow we're taking a second file cabinet, as well as a lot of books that have been stuck in a cupboard for ages.

Of course, we also ended up checking out the recycling shop while there and James came out with some tools and I got more resistance bands to add to my collection.

I got an email from Jenny Juice earlier with six new dress designs. I've already got three dresses from there, with bats, racoons and skulls/snakes on, and love their quirky designs. I do love the Christmas dogs in the new collection, but could only really wear it in December. I also have my eye on either the dino or black cat in the main collection. It would probably make more sense to get one of those. But, Christmas dogs!

The one to one meeting went well with Rosie yesterday

Since our last one to one, James had put on a pound, not surprising really as he's been ill so often lately, and I'd lost just under a stone, which I was pleased about.

We had our usual talk about goals for these next six weeks and mine is to intensify my at home workouts. Which is why I got the bands today, as there were stronger ones in there. Now I just need to find some reasonable priced weights, they did have the kind you put on a bar at the recycling shop but I haven't learned how to do those, and the last thing I want to do is put out my back.

In the meeting James also reminded me I've got an aerobic step upstairs, and that I could use that. Which is true, but I suspect I've deliberately not reminded myself of that because step work is hard.

Another long Strictly show tonight. I'm looking forward to it, but must admit, am still missing this

it's always the way that when you drop donations off, you end up bringing something else home!

I love the holiday dogs dress, but agree that the design makes it less likely you'd wear it in June. though I bet you could pull it off if you wanted *g*

Yay for decluttering and finding something at the recycling shop! Boo for bruised fingers.

I suspect I've deliberately not reminded myself of that because step work is hard.

This made me chuckle because I feel you so hard.

I hope you enjoyed Strictly!

So... have you ever been introduced to popsy? I have a feeling it may be dangerous for you, too (pretty true to size, they do length alterations but no returns if you do that. There is a VERY active facebook group and also a resale/swap group. That can be like a cult though).

Your poor hands! I hope they're healing well, especially as you were doing so brilliantly getting things vamoosed out the house.

You're doing so well at the class - how much difference are you feeling in yourself?

All the popsy dresses have pockets, as well - and they've done some lovely jewel toned velvets for the festive season in recent years. (sorry, not sorry and all that...)

Oh I am SO pleased for you, you've been working hard and what a really lovely pay off.

Drawers are cursed items. They always attack; it's part of the ritual of furniture moving. Hope the hands are doing okay!

Yes, drawers need to be either removed or taped down (on metal)... depending on the situation. I've left drawers in, but used wrap (on wood) to hold drawers closed when being moved on a dolly. Of course, if it's too heavy, taking the drawers out is the way to go.

Congrats on getting more decluttering done! YAY!

Your poor fingers! But hooray for getting rid of that cabinet - and hopefully the second one too by now!

Recycling shops are such dangerous places :-)

The dino dress is awesome and would look fantastic on you!

Good luck with your at-home training! Even the steps ;-D
