Jan. 25th, 2004 10:47 amJames has finished his training and back onto regular shifts again, which is great but also means he had to work this morning. It's Sunday and I've been up since 8, I'm very bitter about that fact, especially as Corey is at his nannas so I could have had a long sleep in. But it wasn't to be :(
I'm sitting listening to the weather warnings on the radio and tv, there's a cold front coming tonight and temperatures will drop to -15C with a high of -8C in the day. Now I know some of you will laugh at that and think it's warm but it's a big deal here. The newspaper even ran a story about how to survive in the cold. I'll survive by staying in as much as possible and complaining how cold it is *g*
I'm going to be writing once I get dressed, so all of you that volunteered to help with my story expect mail later. I also have a load of interview questions to set, I'm trying to resist the urge to ask everyone Why don't you see that Chris is the sexiest thing ever? over and over *g*

Date: 2004-01-25 07:49 am (UTC)But I understand that -15 can be freezing for those not used to it. And at least you recognize there are places colder, because nothing annoys me more than people who don't. As a reward for that, I will offer you the advice my mum gives me when I complain about the cold. "Well, do you have a sweater on?" Gee thanks mum. Clothing, I hadn't thought of that. :)

Date: 2004-01-28 05:28 am (UTC)You can keep your -40C temps, I think I'll stay here in my few inches of snow and temps that rarely dip below freezing!

Date: 2004-01-25 08:11 am (UTC)n'tI think Chris is sexy, and just run with it!And I'll be nice and not laugh about your -8 and -15 temperatures. I know that preparation has a lot to do with it. Your houses are not insulated to handle the same temperatures that ours are.

Date: 2004-01-25 04:14 pm (UTC)Laugh away about the weather *g* It's a huge thing here just now. Weather warnings all the time as we just don't get temps that low. British temp hardly ever dips below freezing so people really are unprepared.
I can't think of the temps you live in without shivering.
