Feb. 1st, 2004 08:53 pmJust have to tell you all that I'm dirty, I'm tired and I need some good smut because I'm in withdrawl.
My sister bought herself a new wardrobe, so I asked for her old ones. They're so nice, made to fit in a corner. She said yes, but man what a job it's been getting them here. Spent yesterday dismantling hers, then today taking my old ones to bits. Tip here, wear shoes when kicking at wardrobes to collapse them, wood hurts your toes. After that the new wardrobes had to be brought down, but I let my brother do that *g* He also put them up and I helped, if holding bits can be said to be helping. Chris works as a joiner so he was doing everything properly, using a spirit level and everything, me, I would have just kicked it until they fit.
So yes, my bedroom looks like a bomb went off in it, and that's how it's going to stay now because I'm done for the night.
I found so much stuff I'd lost when I was moving things, which lead to me sitting on the floor surrounded by Corey's baby clothes, just stroking his tiny vests. And all my baby magazines where there, and they need chucking away but I can remember sitting with James reading the things and couldn't throw them in the binbag.
Now I'm going to have a shower because I'm feeling mankey, then hit the flist, I've only had a quick 5 minute look since yesterday. Like I said I'm in withdrawl from smut, I hope I still remember what my pretty boys look like ;)

Hee! When I first read your post, I was amazed that you and your sister can wear the same clothes. Then I realized that your *wardrobe* is a piece of furniture! hee! My sister actually has one, but it's such an uncommon term here... pretty much every bedroom has a closet in the wall.

I love finding these things out :)

Add to the fact that "wardrobe" also means "clothing" -it's even the official term for the costuming department in TV/Hollywood, etc.- and it's all the more confusing. The only other word we have that means "wardrobe" in the traditional sense is "armoire", which I find funny, since that's actually a French word...
