Dec. 31st, 2003 01:13 pmI've just woke up, like about ten minutes ago. Which wouldn't be so bad but it's after 1 in the afternoon. Man, when I catch up on my sleep I do it big style as I didn't even go to bed that late. Had no choice with that. James started checking our finances out online, I was trying to mail, comment etc but after he asked if he could just check that site one more time I went to bed. Then read my QAF book snuggled in the quilt because it's damn cold. Still is in fact.
New Year bores me. It's a simple as that. I can't get excited over people going out and getting plastered just because the year changes. Like that's such a big deal. I really don't see the point, so normally James, Corey and I drive to Newcastle to watch the fireworks then come home. But it's forcast for gales/blizzards tonight so even that might be out. I'm just hoping the in-laws don't decide to come and first foot after midnight because if they do I'm not letting them in, I don't care if I'm in the house or not.
Same goes for James' friends. He's been asked to their house for drinks, and as far as I'm concerned he can go, but I'll be at home where it's warm, watching the cheesy music lists on tv and surfing on Silver. That's my perfect New Year. It may be boring, but it's what I like, so there!
Sorry, I just don't like New Years Eve *shrugs*
ETA: I'll tell you something else I don't like. Our bloody Post Office. Jenny only got her parcel yesterday even though I paid for special delivery and was promised a before Christmas delivery date. The others I sent normal airmail but they still should have arrived well before now. Is it so difficult to deliver stuff to the States and France? I don't think so.
You know I should have stayed in bed.
