Happy New Year!

I've just been outside watching many, many red sky lanterns float by. They were so beautiful, their flames burning so bright against the dark sky. Not a bad way to greet a new year I think.

I hope 2011 is all kinds of amazing for you all.

I've finally paid to get my extra icons back, so am now sitting impatient for LJ to apply them. Come on LJ, I've missed my icons. I've also just noticed in the shop you can buy up to 210 icons. 210 Mikey icons. Hearts in My Eyes.

My personal tradition on NYE is to stay in, eat finger food and drink hot chocolate. Which is exactly what I did last night. Along with marathoning the last 4 episode of Merlin during the day. Which, the last two. My heart. And nearly the full season of The Big C. Which had me snivelling at the end like the sap like I am.

Today I'm making a roast turkey dinner for the family, and while the turkey is now roasting I'm still sitting in my pjs. Which suggests that at some point I really need to get ready. It's been a good holiday season, and I'm going to be sad to see the decorations come down -- which will be very soon -- I'm looking forward to this new year. So much has changed in the last one, and I think things will just keep getting better.

Last night I also read a report of someone who'd gone to the Christmas concert and were sitting behind Gerard, Lindsey, Mikey and Alicia when they were watching the Smashing Pumpkins. I do like seeing pictures of them all of them hanging out like that.

Okay, plans for today. Get ready, make dinner, upload icons, get over myself and write that goddamn sex scene so I can get on with my fic >:(
