Feb. 3rd, 2022 02:18 pmThank you
misbegotten for the happy heart day card ♥ to you too, and thank you to
sperrywink for the amazing birthday present of the felted dragon necklace. It's beautiful! And I can't wait for an occasion to wear it.
I was glad it was a good mail day as the rest has been meh. James is off with another bad kidney infection, meaning I'm extra pleased he's come out of his sickness warnings at work. It took three nurses and two doctors nearly an hour to get two vials of blood this morning and now he's on the mega antibiotics again and has to phone back on Monday to make sure he's starting to feel better.
He started to feel really off at work yesterday and a report has been put in as he ended up pulling the cord in the disabled toilets needing help, and no one came for 20 minutes despite the light flashing outside and at reception. Thankfully he managed to get to the door and find someone to help but like he said, if he'd collapsed with something serious he'd have been a goner.
Minor but adding to the meh, came home from the doctors, went to make an omelette for dinner and the eggs were black inside which was gross and means I feel like never eating an egg again.
The news about the 53% hike in electric/gas costs didn't help either. I mean, we're not at the point of eat or heat but once that hits our payments are going to shoot up.
Oh, but another good thing. We get our new Motability car on Tuesday. It's at the garage now but needs the adaptions doing, so a few days and we can pick her up. I'll miss Clem, she's been a lovely car but honestly, this automatic boot will make things so much easier.
So really, I guess it's half meh half yay day.
