(no subject)

A few people are doing this on my flist and I thought I'd give it a go. I know I'm behind in the questions so I'll try and double up until I'm caught up.

Day 1: Did you miss us? We're back! Just kidding. Question: What show or movie original cast would you like to see reunite for an update - where the intervening time has passed and we're getting a view of where they are now along with glimpses on how they got there?

I was just talking about this in someone's comments. I would love to see a Voyager update. I know a lot of the characters from the show have turned up in other Trek shows but I would love something that focuses on the full crew. I would especially like to see how Tom, B'Elanna and their daughter are getting on. Did they have more kids, where did they end up living, does Harry pop by for banana pancakes and a catch-up? It would be fantastic to have the whole crew together even if it was just for a one-off special.

Another thing that prompted this response, is I just recently found out Robert Duncan McNeill and Garrett Wang did a podcast series called The Delta Flyers where they discuss the episodes so have just started to listen to them.

Day 2: What show or movie would you like rebooted? Same premise and storylines, but all new actors, showrunners, writers, technology, and social awareness?

I've been thinking about this, and while I'm sure it's been answered before, the short answer is Firefly. The universe itself was amazing and I would love to see more of it but with a whole new cast and showrunners. Oh, or Sliders! I loved that show so much and again, I think the premise has so much potential. A bonus would be sliding somewhere and bumping into Quinn. That would be great.


We're taking my SiL to a hospital appointment this afternoon. I've said before but she gets terrible migraines and has already had two sets of Botox to try and help. Today she's going for an appointment where they're going to try and trigger the migraine so she needs someone with her. As her partner is picking my niece and nephew up from school at the time of the appointment we're taking her. I thought it would be just us going but my MiL just asked if she can come too. It's a small hospital close to the coast so I suspect that's why my MiL wants to come for the drive, then she wants to pick up KFC for their tea on the way home.

Until then, heavy rain is forecast this morning. It's much needed -- and also means I only have to water the greenhouse plants tonight -- so I intend to go change the bedding while it's actually cooler.
