Jun. 18th, 2004 08:08 pmI've been back to the dentists today, thankfully not for me, just Corey and James' checkups which were both fine. Of course I managed to open a bottle of Dr Pepper that fizzed all over me on the journey there because apparently the fact it had been bouncing around the boot didn't enter my head. So that's it for dentists for the next six months. *crosses fingers*
It's been a busy day, not helped by waking up late. It was one of those mornings when the snooze button was my best friend, and after I hit it for the tenth time I suddenly realised we needed to get up now and ended up getting ready in double quick time. These last two nights my sleep patterns have been screwed, I've been going to bed between 12 and 1 which is the normal time on school days then ended lying unable to sleep. It didn't help that last night there was this sound in the garden, like something scraping across the floor, and man, it was scary. I jumped out of bed, heart hammering then did the dance of the coward edging towards the window to look outside. Of course there was nothing there and I ended sitting in bed trying to calm down.
I signed up for the soap opera cliché challenge, because man, it was taunting me. So many good options that I want to write, it wasn't long ago that I was saying on here that I wanted to do a ship wrecked fic and here I have my chance. How could I not sign up and write all those insane ideas that demand to be written? I'm also toying with the h/c one, hell I may even do them both if I have time. Nsync and Boys stranded on an island and a h/c with a major illness that is miraculously cured by the end. So clichéd and wrong but so much fun.
Now the last two questions from the poll.
Who's your biggest influence in real life? Do you know something? I don't have one, and that's sad. I have people that I admire but no one person that really inspires me.
Weirdest/most unusual thing you have ever bought. A toss up between my Trek and pop stuff. I have a few comm badges and comm badge ear rings etc, but that's not weird to me *g* Actually, I think it's my Nsync bobbleheads. Even as I bid for them I was thinking 'what on earth are you doing?' They're weird looking ( especially psycho killer Justin ) and people mock me for having them regularly but I adore them and they've sat on my desk since I got them. They provide hours of amusement, especially when you rock the desk and they look like they're head banging. Then you can dress them up, Lance has a fetching necklace on at the moment and they often have bobbles around their heads. Lol, I'm getting away from the question here, yeah I suppose some people would say they're weird *g*
Okay, off to check the flist and see what you all are up to :)

Date: 2004-06-19 04:09 am (UTC)I love my bobbleheads so much. What gets me is they're so cheap on e-bay US, like less than a dollar for all 5 sometimes, but the shipping is horrendous! If I could I'd have a set for every room because they make me laugh so much.
My Joey bobblehead is a little deformed at the moment, he still bobbles but he's always looking up, I think his spring is bent *sniff sniff*

Date: 2004-06-19 09:30 am (UTC)Stupid shipping, it cost a fortune for the bobbleheads, I'd hate to think what it would be for the marionettes.
