I was asked a very important question earlier. Can worms swim. We decided that they probably floated and that seemed to settle the matter *g*

I got a kick ass beta yesterday so the JC ficathon will be done on time and much better than my first draft. It's funny, I used to hate editing but now I don't mind it, seeing all the weak spots exposed and wondering how to fix them is a challenge that I'm starting to enjoy, especially as I know it makes the story stronger. Now I just have to get started, I'm trying to catch up on the flist and answer comments at the moment.

Thinking of that story, will anyone be able to read it for Briticisms later today? It shouldn't need a traditional beta as [livejournal.com profile] interlock did all the hard work, but it's always good to have a native of the country you're writing in check it over.

People that e-mailed me off list last night. Thank you, I appreciated it a whole lot.

Now I'm going to do something productive, really I am *g*

Good to see you happy! :-)

For answers to all the worm questions you never thought of asking (or that you never thought you'd have to answer *hehe*), check out the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Worms page (http://www.dnr.state.mo.us/alpd/swmp/worms/wormworm.htm). *giggles*

*nods* I agree with you (which is good since I have lots of weak spots in my fic *hehe*). It depends a lot on who's helping you edit, though.

*nods* Okay. I'm gonna do the same. *coughs* ;-รพ

Thanks :)

Thanks also for the worm page, we've been checking it out *g*

Yeah, I totally agree that it depends on who edits. I'm so lucky to have people who I class as excellent editors and also friends. Which means they don't give me any bull if my stuff is weak.

Official answer on the worm? It depends on the type of worm. There are aquatic worms and terrestrial worms. In general, the terrestrial worms don't cope well with water and drown. There may be an exception or two though (they were never my area of expertise, I ignored anything terrestrial).

Woo! for the story being almost ready. I made a lot of progress today, so I'm feeling better about it than I was. I'm going to need a check for Australianisms, too. They slip in when I'm not looking, I swear.*g*

I never knew there were more than one type of worm. That's cool thanks for answering, I'll pass it on to Corey. He's always asking me things I haven't got a clue about *g*

I'm so happy the story is almost done, especially with time to spare. Go you too!

Man, I keep thinking I've got my American words straight, then I'll post something and I'll get comments like 'Americans would never say things like that' Which is why I get my stories checked if I can, because like you they slip in when I'm not looking ;)

Did you try to conduct a practical experiment? It reminds me of the movie Antz where they got trapped in a droplet of water.

Another question for you: Where do baby carrots and baby corn come from? Are they midget vegetables?

Damn, we didn't. That would have proven the question once and for all too *g*

LOL. I think they are midget vegetables, mainly because I like the idea of that ;)

I'd be happy to take a look, if you'd like. I hope things smoothed over from yesterday *hugs*.

Thanks, hon.

I'll send it your way.

Things are good today. I phoned my brother and found out what he really thinks so we can stay united. That way she can't try and undermine us by saying he doesn't approve which is what she was trying last night *shrugs*

It's her loss in the end.

Thanks for asking.

I did my best, but even in America people speak differently depending on where they're from. BTW, I've been told I have a midwestern accent, whatever that means *shrugs*. I hope I was somewhat helpful to you anyway.

I'm glad the siblings are sticking together *hugs*, and you're totally right, it's her loss. I hope things only get better.

If you still need someone to look over your story, I'd love to! (kaethe at livejournal dot com)

Worms, by the way, are cool. Have no idea about the swimming, though.

Thank you! Sending it now.

Worms are cool and I've discovered the swimming thing depends on what kind they are. How you tell that I have no idea *g*
