turpsI want to thank everyone who celebrated with us yesterday. I passed on the congratulations to James and he thanks you too. To elaborate, the job he's been offered is a salary drop to the last one but tax credits will buffer that a lot while he looks for something better. Right now a regular salary is what we needed and that's what we've got so things are good. Also, our new car arrived in the country on Wed and is being adapted now so we'll get it on Monday, so there's two good things and I'm sticking out for a third, if bad luck can come in threes so can the good. Of course SeSa could be the good :D
It's Guy Fawkes today so we'll be going to a display later. I think last year when the catherine wheel set fire to the shed door was the end of our home displays *g* I just feel sorry for Tex, he's so frightened of the bangs. It'll be a good night though, fireworks are always beautiful and it's a lovely day, cool with that special smell of autumn in the air.
I was messing with my journal earlier, check it out here changing the colours and modifying the header a bit but what I'm most proud of is learning how to put pictures in the component boxes. It may be a small thing but the small things make me happy you know? I should have a matching default icon really but I love my default too much to change it.
To end the WIP meme. I think I only have three.
“But you can’t. I got that,” Justin interrupts and he suddenly shakes off the confused boy, ageing before Chris’ eyes.
Chris hates them, hates that they’re happy and unafraid while he’s so scared and alone.
Head pressed against the grimy car window, Blair flexed his shoulders, trying to ease the pain in his body
And that's it. Now I'm going for a coffee because I've been to the doctors and the hospital today and need a drink and some computer time before I head out again. Hopefully LJ will be out of it's read only phase, I was so unlucky last night hitting so many read only journals.
