First, happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] i_naiad I hope you had a fantastic day.

It's been a busy few days around here. We decided as James is back to work on Mon the painting really needed to be finished which meant poor Silver had to be packed away for a while. I hate being without my computer, even if I don't use it it's still there you know? But when it's in boxes it's a sad state of affairs. I did sneak in some online time on Kay's computer but that didn't last long. Plus our new car arrived. So it was bye bye BB, hello Flash. Flash is gorgeous, silver with so many seats that Corey has a choice of five when we go out. The BiL got a new car as well this week which led to a drive where they followed one another then parked up side by side where he and James talked through the windows. 'My car has a 1.6 engine' 'well mine has a 1.8' 'mine has heated seats' 'mine has 7 seats' sigh, boys and their toys ;)

I've watched a lot of tv lately. Extreme Makeover Home Addition has just started here and every night I'm sitting blubbering, man I'm such a wuss, as soon as they cry I do the same and don't get me started on the episode I downloaded about autistic Lance and his deaf parents. That was a tear jerker and a half. Also, more Malcolm in the Middle watching. Earlier I managed to download season 1 so finally saw the pilot and Francis is only 16. I was shocked I tell you. Not shocked enough to stop slashing him mind you, that boy's too pretty not to slash. Which surprises me too as I'm usually about the dark haired, dark eyed guys. I've gone back to my first fannish love of the Tom Paris type with this crush.

We also watched On the Line and I was feeling the JoLa love, however I'm blaming that on the paint fumes ;)

So yeah, lots of painting, pining for my computer and watching tv for the last few days and a moment when I missed my grandad so much. I was at nannas and she said there'd been a butterfly that brushed her shoulder and settled in the kitchen with its wings outstretched and she thought it was grandad coming to see her again. I don't know, I forget how much I miss him then one thing brings it all back.

Sesa e-mails tomorrow right? I can't wait then I can stop thinking of worst case scenarios schmoopy lambs, bassez

We had a phone call earlier from one of the credit companies we're dealing with. I don't know if you remember but it's the same one that told us to sell our house last month to pay off our debts. Well this time they had a new trick. Earlier this year we had to send in a list of our outgoings to prove we couldn't pay things in full. Today they had this list and asked why we had to pay for Corey's school dinners. We pay £24 a month for his school dinners which is a main meal, drinks and dessert and they wanted to know why we don't make him a packed lunch and save some money. Sometimes it's like you're banging your head on a brick wall.

And with that I go :)

And why do you buy him clothes? Just a sheet bound at the waist could do. And why do you buy him toys? Give him a stick and he'll play outside. And school books? Can't he just ask some of his friends to lend him the books to do his homework?

Man, I can't believe people sometimes!!

Some people are idiots who go out of the way to be difficult.

They totally crossed the line bringing Corey into though.

Tell me about it. We did everything by the book in terms of our money problems including this company, they agreed to the terms yet are going out of their way to be difficult.

They'd probably love the sheet suggestion, I mean they've already demanded to know why we need a tv and mobile phone.

So, I guess that means if you should get me, you have to start painting again ;-).

LOL. No need to say sorry.

I think with Basez it's just I've never even thought of writing it, I don't have any pairings I actively dislike. Then again I suppose things like SeSa are there to stretch you as a writer into doing things you wouldn't usually.
