Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] _bettina_! I hope you're having a most fantastic day!

I need to thank people for mail.

[livejournal.com profile] stellamira, thank you so much! I love all the posters and they'll be going up asap. [livejournal.com profile] seiyaharris CHRIS!!!! and drabbles in the post *g* And I'll see you at New Year!! [livejournal.com profile] digital_diva. Thank you! I love swag so much :) [livejournal.com profile] mickeym, thank you so much for the beautiful card, [livejournal.com profile] lunkidunk thank you so much for your card too, it's gorgeous! [livejournal.com profile] babycakesin, much thanks from all of us, you're a sweetheart. [livejournal.com profile] satsuma77 I love it! Thank you! Gill sent me the most gorgeous sparkly glitterbug from Lush and it's perfect! And no this one won't be left on top of the microwave *g*

You all rock, getting mail these last few weeks has been a pleasure. You also put me to shame as at this point half of my stuff will be late.

Today's been a busy day, shopping, doctors, more shopping and a visit to nannas. It would have been her and grandad's wedding anniversary today, 65 years, so she was a little down. She'd been to lay flowers on his grave and dad had planted some flowers so that was her tribute to him. Somehow, and I really don't know how this happened, arrangements were made to take her to the Boxing day dip. This is when thousands of insane people run into the freezing sea on Boxing day for charity. James usually takes Corey to watch but I stay at home to help with the boxing day tea so how it ended us all going I don't know.

Shopping is half done and a turkey defrosting on the draining board. Now all we need is a grocery shop and two last gifts and we're finished. I'm really looking forward to this weekend :) James was wrapping my presents last night and when he unwrapped the MX dvds there were Blinky Bill chocolates inside! Blinky Bill! That was such a nice thing for the seller to do.

SeSa was submitted on time then details changed many times until I finally stopped messing and forced myself to shut the window. Now I'm doing the dance of 'oh god what if they hate it, new stories to read!'

*dances with you*

And my package to you is on its way as of a few days ago, shold be there in time for Saturday..... ...but I FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!!!

OMFG, =TERRI=, I forgot the DVD I promised you a zillion days ago!!!!

And idiot me, I *remembered* the tiny bit of swag that was intended to go with it, sitting on the desk not two feet from the DVD. *sigh* So, I'm sticking the PROPER DVD in the mail today; I guess you'll just have to make do with the one I was hinting about last year in the meanwhile.

Isn't last minute holiday madness fun?!? I'm off to the mall to find a scarf for the SiL as well as the post office, so we'll just see.

Merry Christmas!

LOL. No worries about missing things out. I've your parcel sitting next to me. There's no chance it'll get there for Christmas which I feel bad about but I was waiting for something to come.

This last minute madness is fun. I can enjoy it now that the bulk of the prep has been done.

How did your story go btw? Were you happy with it?

Merry Christmas to you too!

Wheeee, the postal people think it may make it in time, hurrah.

I now have everything purchased except some half-baked pizzas from our favorite restaurant for the parents; I'll pick those up tomorrow or the next day. Other than that, I just need to WRAP everything, lol.

And my SeSa story went pretty well, considering I had no plan whatsoever, etc etc, lol. Just over 5000 words, and I think it accomplished what I wanted it to reasonably well, so I'm happy with it. I'm not *thrilled* like I was last year, but last year's was my first popslash EVER and had a LOT more time and effort put into it.

I just hope my recipient enjoys it, that's all I can ask for.

And I'm hearing good things about yours, Ms. Mam; betas who wish they were your recipient and such...

YAY!

I wrapped last night, so now the Christmas tree has presents under it and Corey's stuff is hidden away.

I'm sure your story will be fantastic! I'll have to see if I can spot it when the stories are released. I've a head start I know but I'm sure there'll be lots of stories with that pairing.

I take it you've been talking to Lydia *g* I'm really happy with my own story. I just wish I had the time to expand it a little as it could fit a much longer story really well.

I can't wait for the stories!

Wheeeeeeee, me niether!!

I'm gonna have to steal some time on the parents' computer to read mine on Christmas Day, lol. Either that ir leave WAY early to have time to myself when I get home before trying to get to bed for work on the 26th. (Boooo! lol)

But is there any reason you can't expand it later, if you want?

And I'm interested to see if you spot mine, but I bet you will, you know my style, and there may be another hint I'm not revealing here... *w*

Hope you enjoy the swag. Whatever it was. I don't remember. ahahahaha! Do you think coffee is ruining my brain? ;-)

They show the Boxing day dip here. Crazy people! Isn't it cold enough already? ;-)

LOL. You must be in coffee overdose now, but personally I think it's good for the brain. You must be naturally forgetful ;)

And it was a pen which I've been using to address my very late Christmas cards.

They are crazy! I'll be huddled up with multiple layers on while they're prancing around with bathing suits.

Hee - I couldn't resist when I was in Lush and saw them and it was sparkly and I remembered your microwave story and they do melt EVERYWHERE but this was Christmas and you gave me confidence in the story and you know what I mean by canny and stottie and black bullets and I ate too much chocolate.

Yes.

LOL. Chocolate is good, as are black bullets and stotty, and really canny is a wonderful word. So useful for so many sentences.

He's a canny lad.
It's a canny long way away.

It drives my non Northern mates mad as it gets used in so many contexts *g*

Also, your story is wonderful, you should have confidence.

Thank you again :D

Still no snow :(

We had one very small flurry two days ago and that was it. But there's also no fret, just clear and cold right now.

You're welcome. I'm sorry about the state of some of the posters. They already were that way when I got them. But I'm happy that I did a good job chosing them and you like them.
