You all rock, getting mail these last few weeks has been a pleasure. You also put me to shame as at this point half of my stuff will be late.
Today's been a busy day, shopping, doctors, more shopping and a visit to nannas. It would have been her and grandad's wedding anniversary today, 65 years, so she was a little down. She'd been to lay flowers on his grave and dad had planted some flowers so that was her tribute to him. Somehow, and I really don't know how this happened, arrangements were made to take her to the Boxing day dip. This is when thousands of insane people run into the freezing sea on Boxing day for charity. James usually takes Corey to watch but I stay at home to help with the boxing day tea so how it ended us all going I don't know.
Shopping is half done and a turkey defrosting on the draining board. Now all we need is a grocery shop and two last gifts and we're finished. I'm really looking forward to this weekend :) James was wrapping my presents last night and when he unwrapped the MX dvds there were Blinky Bill chocolates inside! Blinky Bill! That was such a nice thing for the seller to do.
SeSa was submitted on time then details changed many times until I finally stopped messing and forced myself to shut the window. Now I'm doing the dance of 'oh god what if they hate it, new stories to read!'

Date: 2004-12-22 02:12 am (UTC)I now have everything purchased except some half-baked pizzas from our favorite restaurant for the parents; I'll pick those up tomorrow or the next day. Other than that, I just need to WRAP everything, lol.
And my SeSa story went pretty well, considering I had no plan whatsoever, etc etc, lol. Just over 5000 words, and I think it accomplished what I wanted it to reasonably well, so I'm happy with it. I'm not *thrilled* like I was last year, but last year's was my first popslash EVER and had a LOT more time and effort put into it.
I just hope my recipient enjoys it, that's all I can ask for.
And I'm hearing good things about yours, Ms. Mam; betas who wish they were your recipient and such...

Date: 2004-12-22 09:49 am (UTC)I wrapped last night, so now the Christmas tree has presents under it and Corey's stuff is hidden away.
I'm sure your story will be fantastic! I'll have to see if I can spot it when the stories are released. I've a head start I know but I'm sure there'll be lots of stories with that pairing.
I take it you've been talking to Lydia *g* I'm really happy with my own story. I just wish I had the time to expand it a little as it could fit a much longer story really well.
I can't wait for the stories!

Date: 2004-12-23 03:27 am (UTC)I'm gonna have to steal some time on the parents' computer to read mine on Christmas Day, lol. Either that ir leave WAY early to have time to myself when I get home before trying to get to bed for work on the 26th. (Boooo! lol)
But is there any reason you can't expand it later, if you want?
And I'm interested to see if you spot mine, but I bet you will, you know my style, and there may be another hint I'm not revealing here... *w*
