I wish I could turn my slash goggles off sometimes because watching the celebrity big brother evictions and being hit with Kenzie/Jeramy slash is wrong. Just no, yet my mind insisted on trying to go there.
Good news yesterday when the nurse said I can cut down the doctors visits to one a week, which man, is a relief.
The FiL is coming soon to help decorate the kitchen. I'm supposed to be clearing the walls and benches, yet I'm sitting here. Damn, I really better go get started. Okay, that went well. It's hours later and he's painting in the kitchen and I'm sitting here keeping out of the way. This is after a major argument earlier between James and I which I won't bore you with details but I'll mention one thing. If you go for the big storm out of the room make sure you don't kick something solid when you've no shoes on, because firstly ouch, secondly hopping in pain really spoils the dramatic moment *g*
Thinking of the in laws. They may be taking Corey on holiday, either a weekend or if I decide it's okay a full week. It's just it'll be on a school week and I hate keeping him out of school. However, I doubt we'll be able to go on holiday this year so that makes me think I should let him go. James did mention that the in laws thought we should go down with them and spend the weekend before coming home for work. Which yeah, I'm so thrilled about because you know 6 adults, a toddler and an eight year old would fit in a caravan so wonderfully.
Moving on. I'm so tempted by the challenge that
without_me and
musicdiamond have arranged. I'm sitting here thinking about whether Chris/Nick would be better to write than Chris/JC, then smiling at the beautiful image of Chris/JC/Nick ( which is partially
interlocks fault and she knows why *g* ) I especially like that AU's are encouraged but as I wrote an AU for SeSa I'm thinking a real time story would be better. I don't know, I have an idea nibbling which is exciting. That first step to a new story which you know will drive you insane yet you still want to get started now.
I may just sit and think for a while as I sort out my footage folder, answer comments and mess with PS. I can't do anything more involved due to the painting going on right behind me. Oh wow! It's snowing! The first snow of the season. I must go and open the blinds so I can see. But first I've a few new icons which I'll GIP later but I'll start with this one, because Timbertrick rocks my world.

You really should come see me and I'll tell you in person how much I love them.

Date: 2005-01-22 06:13 pm (UTC)It's a shame if you kept away from all challenges because you're a really good writer. However, I know challenges aren't for everyone and you're so busy being a kick ass student that some things have to wait.
I really do love your stuff though, challenge written or not.
Yes! Babies!

Oh yeah, you're GOLDEN.
JC Chasez? .... TrickC. Check.
Lance Bass?.....Lambs. Check.
Nick Carter?.... well, ok, but I'm sure you could work him in if you wanted. Besides, you only need one of the three and you already have two!
So, to quote a dear friend:

Date: 2005-01-23 02:05 am (UTC)The pairings do match rather well and I do have a good proportion of the story done already. It does mean I'd have to wait until March to post though.
However, I have joined.
I think Raven is a bad influence on you ;)

Re: household projects where one's main job is to stay out of the way--the best kind!
And I'm so glad the doctor's visits are going well and you can cut back--that's gotta be a relief.

Date: 2005-01-23 01:54 am (UTC)I've just signed for the challenge. It was inevitable as soon as I saw it really.
It's totally a relief about the doctors. Cutting it down from three times a week to one is a heck of a time save.

Date: 2005-01-22 09:16 pm (UTC)CBB - those are the two faintly cute young lads who were showing together the other day when Em was round, which means BB on TV, right? Seriously - the *only* person I recognised in the original line up was Germaine Greer and that guy og C4 racing ....
Challenge? Terri write for Challenge. Chris Nick Lance [aka the crossover 0t3] - you know you want to. You wantses. You do [you saw my deadline post - I'll keep on trucking with the kitties, but I'm not in a place to add another to the list!]
Yay on the need for less doctors visists - thats ace news. and *snuggles* on the row front. Not fun, even without the foot pain.
Re Corey and holidays, I'm going to go horribly responsible on you - It's really not a good thing to take him out of school for a week for a trip, really really not. Even at his age thats a lot of school work to catch up on, and god I sound preachy. The sentence 'it that really sending the messages ytou want to send about the importance of school' has been deleted from this space. Sorry!
*snuggles some more*

Date: 2005-01-23 01:24 am (UTC)The thing with Lance is I don't think I can write him well. Not that I'm any expert with the others but Lance is just...so Lance like. Look at the mess I got into with that damn cliche story. The idea is very appealing though I must admit.
I probably will join though. I have itchy writing fingers right now.
I was so thrilled about the doctors. My usual nurse was on holiday and the stand in said there was no reason why I should be going so often when I'm doing dressing changes at home each day anyway. Which is fine by me. I just hope it doesn't get changed back. As for the row it was something over nothing. Sadly DIY brings the worst out in us, especially when we go to get the paint and remember we used it to paint the toilet.
No need to be sorry about school. I was totally against the keeping him off thing but got distracted by being able to send him away when I know we probably won't be able to. It's a case of me knowing what I'm going to do but having what ifs anyway. A weekend away will do him fine and that way he won't fall behind.
*snuggles with you*
Which is a good thing as I'm freezing.
