turps: (yet another baby)

It was my nanna's birthday yesterday, so we went to see her and had chocolate cake and coffee forced upon us. Which was nice, it's not like we'd protest too much ;) She was enjoying her day I think but she still says how she doesn't want to be around much longer. She's in her late eighties and as it's her first birthday without grandad that wouldn't have helped, but still, I wish she wouldn't say things like that. My uncle had taken her to see Miss Saigon the day before, and her sister and family took had taken her out for dinner yesterday, then she's going out for dinner with my dad and his fiancée today so her birthday is lasting a long time. Like Corey's, we took him to metrocenter yesterday to spend his birthday money. He was allowed to spend it on what he liked as long as some was saved. So he bought more Playstation games which was so not a surprise. One of them came complete with a camera thing so you can use your hands to play the game, things like punching, and hailing a taxi etc, so him and his dad were sitting like a bunch of loons punching the air all last night *g*

I however watched the top 100 weepy movie moments, and my god the fact I'm a sap was pointed out to me yet again. I cry so easily at movies, Beaches, ET, The Champ, My Girl, I'm just a mess. But the one that kills me every time is Titanic. It's a dodgy movie I know that but when Jack slips away in the water, frozen and she's crying after him and he sinks and my god! My bottom lip's trembling now. Then she dies and Jack meets her on the stairs and just *cries*

Ahem, yes, moving on. James is on earlies today so I've been up since a disgusting hour, however, Monster House was on! I love that show so much so I bundled up on the couch once he'd gone and watched that before having another few hours sleep. We exchanged Valentine's cards but that's all. Feb is such a disgracefully expensive month for us that we really can't afford to get gifts too. I love flowers but I get so mad that the price shoots up on Valentine's day. How can they justify that? It's so wrong.

Anyway, [livejournal.com profile] castalie have business to discuss so I'll go, but not before wishing you all a happy Valentine's day if you celebrate it, and if you don't, it'll soon be over.

*snogs flist enthusiastically* Have a good one, all of you! XXXX

I bawl at movies. It cracks hubby up (since he doesn't much). Titanic I never got, but I also have major water issues that probably hindered me actually enjoying the movie anyway (how I finished watching it, I have yet to figure out).

But Beaches? Yeah. Another? Dying Young. :-D

I don't know what it is about Titanic that gets me so much. I don't really care about the characters but those end scenes kill me every time, even out of context like they were last night.

Dying Young, oh man, yes *sniff sniff*

Dying Young is just fantastic, but I also adore Campbell Scott, so. :-D Talented Boy with excellent genes, that. :-D

I cry so easily at movies

You and me both, sis, you and me both. Just the thought of some certains scenes can have my own bottom lip trembling. Let's not mentiong Ruth's or Beth's deaths in their respective movies/books, shall we?

And I'm curious to see what you'll think of my 'business talk' btw *is impatient*

Oh man, now I'm sniffing thinking about those things.

You, impatient? *g*

I won't be long promise, Corey's on half term so I had to go do the mam duties and play Sonic with him. It's right there at #24 in the mother's hand book. You shall play video games and get beaten soundly by your son at least once a day ;)

Wow, a mam's job is never done. And that's love and dedication, allowing oneself to get beaten or is that humiliated? by one's son lol

*resists urge to snog Terri back and hence unleash a zillion of cold germs*

I would have wanted to celebrate (the fact that I'm single is so not a problem *g*), but with the cold and the leg and all I can't seem to get me to a store or anything to buy any goodies. I'll try to get to have a late celebration (with PotO...and hoepfully something edible) when I come home from drama class though.

Hey, come snog me at will. What's a few germs between friends ;)

Yeah, you should celebrate. You don't need no stinking man, woman, whatever to have a good time today.

Those games where you use your body to interact with the game? I love that idea--people are always fussing that our kids are getting out of shape due to computer games--now the kids(or us--a couple people on my friendslist have Dance Dance Revolution) can have both!

I cry at movies all the time. Especially My Girl, I've seen it a hundred times, but the funeral scene gets me every time *sniff*. It's bad and I'm usually not a crier.

Happy Valentines Day! *hugs*

Why does it seem like half your family is born in February? Nothing wrong with having a bit of chocolate cake forced offered your way. ;)

I get weepy at the stupidest movies. Usually G movies when they get to the inevitable happy ending that you could see a mile away. *sigh*

*smooches*

I have to admit it feels like they are. Feb goes. BiL, Nanna, then it used to be my grandad ) Corey, me then my brothers partner. It's an expensive month for sure.

I suck at weepy movies, anything sets me off..sighs too.

*smooches with you*
