It's been a while so

Computer -- has been going screwy as I'd picked up a virus from somewhere. I suspect Corey or James had downloaded something they shouldn't have as suddenly poor Silver kept crashing constantly. Norton picked up the virus eventually after many scans and live updates and it seems to be okay now thank goodness. Also computer related, mam's bought me more memory for Christmas, so soon I'll have four times the memory I have now. Or rather Silver will, though me personally getting more memory would be rather cool.

Shopping -- This weekend was insane. We had this bright idea that for the MiL that we'd take pictures of her grandkids and give them to her for her Christmas gift. Sounds easy right? James told the SiL and she thought it was a good idea, but for some reason she decided to tell the MiL that James and I were taking my niece and nephew to a Christmas party. I mean it would have been far too easy for her to meet us for a few hours. No, we had to engage in this pretence about taking them to a party, and of course when you've got a three year old who talks about everything she does, well you have to make a party appear. We ended at the metrocenter again, eating at the indoor amusement place then walking past the rides. Which was fun and all, except you forget how tiring it is looking after such young children, especially when one's only weeks old and needs feeding/changing. And yes, little boys still pee on you as soon as you take off their nappy.

The next day we were back at Metrocenter, but this time with my nanna. She'd asked to go and though we had a load of things that needed doing we couldn't really say no. Now you'd think taking an old lady shopping would be easier than taking kids. Well let me tell you this, they're both the same. Both want to look at every shiny thing, both need to stop and rest, both make loud inappropriate comments. Nanna can't walk that far so we did the walk past a few shops, stop thing. Then we had to go home as it was Corey's cub church service. We went to that and twitched a little inside when a family with a toddler took the pew in front. Nanna immediately said ' I hope he's not a squawker, I hate squawkers' and was just generally disapproving whenever the poor thing moved. But I did enjoy spending time with her, despite all these things.

Corey -- Like I said it was his Cub's service. The cubs were there and all the other branches of the movement, from the littlest rainbows to the venture scouts. It was a torchlight carol service so the church was lit up with constantly moving beams of light which looked cool. The vicar person was good too, talking not preaching and taking having multiple beams of light on him in good spirits. We sang, and though I'm not religious at all, I do like singing carols. Then all the children took the pledge again, promising to do their best and just, I was so proud. Coming home that night we found Santa. He drives around Houghton in his sledge each year collecting for charity, so we followed him for a while, because we had to, not because we're scary Santa stalkers, and it was just the perfect end to the afternoon.

Tex -- I think he must have been ill or something as I went upstairs one night and he'd peed on the bed. Soaking right into the mattress. He's never done that before so I don't know what's up. We had to chuck out the quilt and slept under the couch throws and empty quilt covers that night. Tex is old now, so we're going to get him a check up at the vets, just to make sure he's okay.

SeSa. -- Is going very well. Apart from one moment where James asked about it, and discovering I wasn't done made a comment that I should have written it as soon as I got the assignment, and just, he doesn't understand ideas don't come just like that and it takes time to write something good. I mean sure, I could throw out a thousand word something in a day, I just don't want to. So yes, he barely escaped being beaten around the head that day.

Christmas -- cards have been sent, some gifts have been sent. So they'll either get there on time or just after Christmas. I've received some beautiful cards myself, so thank you [livejournal.com profile] dine, [livejournal.com profile] soulescaping, [livejournal.com profile] chootoy, [livejournal.com profile] augustuscaesar, [livejournal.com profile] bayouskye, [livejournal.com profile] _unashamed, [livejournal.com profile] rikes, [livejournal.com profile] wistfuljane, [livejournal.com profile] turloughishere and of course, Lancecat! It seems it's time to state your sparkly icons counts again and who am I to not join in with the cool kids? So, Chris= 31, trickc= 10, timbertrick= 5, choey=2, trickyfish=2, threemanbus=1, kevin=2, Nick=2, Kevin/Nick=1, Nsync=2, JC=4, Justin=2, Joey=1. I have no single Lance icon, that's just wrong.

Also, a not so GIP GIP. The lovely [livejournal.com profile] rikes made me Choey and trickyfish icons, because she's awesome like that.
