turpsGoing out last night was fun. The food was good and there were actual candles and music as opposed to wipe-clean menus and the shrieking of kids. I consumed so much garlic it should have been seeping from my pores. So it's a good thing James and Corey had the same. The only problem was an accent thing. The staff had very broad Italian accents, and seemed to have problems with ours too. For example, James asked for two cokes as he and Corey had finished theirs. The waiter took the empty glasses, then came back, gave James a funny look and placed two forks next to his bowl of pasta. It was only when no cokes arrived that we realised that the waiter had totally misunderstood. He must have thought James was a loon, wanting three forks to eat pasta *g* I kept giggling about that all night, not so much the misunderstanding but the look on the guy's face.
Later another waiter brought out a tambourine and started to sing to a table. I was so nervous in case he came to our table, because I hate being singled out like that. I would have wanted to slither away in an embarrassed heap. But yeah, it was lovely and I'd go and pretend to be a grown up again one day.
Linksurfing I discovered that Young Riders is apparently coming out on DVD. I used to love that show, staying up until late to watch. In fact, I remember setting my alarm for 3am once because it was on at that insane time. That and Hardball. Man, I loved the long haired guy in that. I haven't thought of that show in years but I loved it so. The Big Easy too, though I think that was later, as I'm sure I remember watching it with James.
Today has been one of those days that last forever. I feel like my battery is about to run out and the walk to the docs and back took much longer than usual. I want to get my jammies on and kick back. Sadly I have to go to Asda and do a big shop as soon as James is finished work. Also, my mp3 player has died on me. I've only got a cheap one but I use it all the time when I'm out, and now I get enough battery power for the hello screen to come up then it dies.

seiyaharris is threatening me with Bassez! First she breaks my heart with a lovely angsty trickyfish. Then she wants me to write bassez sex. Some friend! ;)
