May. 22nd, 2006 12:02 pmOkay. You know when there's something you've wondered at but didn't ask because you think it would make you look stupid. Well, I've such a question and am going to swallow my pride and just ask. In the context of He's got great guns what the heck are guns? I suspected it was chest, then arms and now I don't know at all. I'm clueless. Anyone care to fill me in?
The reports and pictures from
withdiamonds and
silveryscrape about going to see Chris have had me giddy with glee this weekend. He looks awesome. ARMS! and there's classic Chris behaviour and it just makes me happy you know? So. Much. Love.
Because it was far too wet to go boot saling yesterday, James and I went to the cinema instead. After many words about what to see, we ended up with tickets for Waiting. I wasn't really keen. From seeing previews it seemed to be much about the gross out stuff, and I really can't be doing with cooks/waiting staff doing stuff with food. I've never been able to watch that part in Eminem's video where that women spits on the onions rings. There's a spit trail and it's gross and I get all cockly and have to look away, which is what I had to do today when they did all sorts of nasty stuff to the food in the movie. Apart from that I enjoyed it a lot, and especially enjoyed watching John Francis Daley. It's the lips, and the teeth. They're just....they fascinate me. He spent most of the movie with his mouth hanging half open, and man, I didn't used to have a thing about teeth before popslash. Bloody Kirkpatrick. So yeah, googling him I discovered he was in Kitchen Confidential which many people seemed to like, so I've downloaded the first ep to see what I think.
Saturday was Eurovision night, watching insane people sing insane songs, with the addition of interlock who texted through most of the show with a wonderful series of snark. Who knew that Kevin and Howie's European cousins were singing in Eurovision? *g* Because of that Simply Dance Fever was moved to last night and I realise I may be the only one watching but I'll I knew Mark and Jennifer wouldn't get to the final, they simply weren't as good as most of the others. But Mark's face at the end. Man, he had me all sniffly because he was devastated and Jennifer was sobbing. So very sad.
While I'm talking tv shows.
I wasn't that impressed last week, but this weeks was so much better. The cyber men gave me chills, it was the way they marched in formation. The sound of their feet clomping made shivers go down my spine. It was a good exit for Mickey. He's grown so much since he first appeared, he's shown he's so much more than the tin dog, and of course. Bonus Mickey/Jake as they go off into the sunset to save the world.
A little Supernatural story now. James and I were watching last night. At the end I made a comment about how sweet Dean and Sam were together. James turned and said in all seriousness. 'Yeah, I bet some person will be slashing them' I was like, you've got no idea. He was taken aback when I explained how huge the fandom was, couldn't wrap his head around why people would slash brothers. He's such an innocent still in the ways of online.
It's a nasty horrible no good day today with miserly rain. Still no sign of my new niece or nephew. Kelly is 10 days overdue now and not at all comfortable. I'm supposed to be glossing again but that can wait until after school. I've no desire to change into painting clothes, change back, get wet, change again and paint.
