My kitchen is full of food right now. Sandwich stuffings and cakes and pies and so much chocolate. If nothing else, the party will have enough food. The SiL has done a great job, especially with the cake. She made it like a rugby pitch, complete with posts and flags, so very cool. Later we've got a load of balloons to blow up, but apart from that, things are pretty much done. For today anyway, tomorrow is going to be chaos.

I was updating my site today, and it reminded me of my desire to write something long. It's something I've said for a while, but I've never done anything about it. I'd really like to do something 50,000 words plus. Boxes is over 26,000 and Always Known went over 20,000, but I worry that I'll run out of things to say, or that I won't be able to maintain interest in a story that long. Still though, one day I'm going to give it a try. Try and prise that epic out of me. Of course I'd need an idea first, that would be good.

I also sorted through my files and found stuff I'd forgotten I'd written. Including a depressing little story where someone is strung out on drugs and the start of another that actually sounds interesting. If only I could remember what the heck I was going to write.

You're probably right. Are right in fact. I have 15,000 words just sitting in my WIP file and I haven't even started on what I want to say. The problem is, I keep getting side tracked with other stuff.

I really need to make a pledge to add at least some words at least each week.

I suspect it would take tying me to my desk and banning any mention of pairing days and challenges. Maybe then I'd write something without a prompt *g*
