I was wondering what to post today, then clear_my_eyes gave me a list that makes a perfect Chris day post. Thank you for that, sweetheart.

First she wanted to know my top 5 fan fics ever. I love many stories, but I eventually got these.

The Wednesday Thing by rhyssj Trickyfish. This is my comfort fic story. Which I know is weird because Chris is struggling so much. But he gets through it, and the others love him, and are there for him, and just. Them being friends is so important to me, and this shows that so well. Like here.

"If I could," Justin said, "I would pick you up and carry you through this. You know that, right?"

Oh, Justin. You make my heart sing.

Into the Fire by pierson Trickc. It's an AU where Chris and JC are shape changing Ravens, and the main character is Kevin and before anyone does a omg Kevin! reaction, the story is wonderful. But what gets me is the Ravens, Chris and JC love each other so much. Linda writes so well, her descriptions so sharp and she's just. I want to be a writer like her when I grow up. Look.
"You fucker," JC says, his voice rough. "If you ever tell me to run off and leave you again, I'll kill you myself."

Chris' mouth quirks up at one corner, the movement so slight that if Kevin hadn't been looking, he'd have missed it. "Since when do you ever listen to me, anyway?" Chris asks, his voice as breathy and light as a breeze.

"Never," JC says, and leans in to press his lips to Chris' forehead.

It's Chris and JC and they love each other so deeply and Chris wanted him to go and JC wouldn't and they're just soinlove!

Absinthe Makes the Heart Grow Fonder by mickeym and nopseud Trickc. I swear, those two looked inside my brain and wrote what I love. Sex and angst and h/c and kink and a story that had me on the edge of my seat for ages. The bit I want to quote is a huge spoiler for the story but just know, I hit this bit and cried. A lot. In a good way.

Mysterious Ways by pierson Choey. Everything I said about Linda above goes here too. This story is wonderful, long and plotty and I love Chris. I also really like how the secondary characters are in this too. You know a story is well rounded when you fall in love with even the background guys.

Lance unfolded and stepped forward, his pale green eyes sweeping over Chris, sharp and observant. Chris knew he couldn't hide anything from Bass, and so he didn't even try. Lance sighed, and curled one perfectly-manicured hand around the back of Chris' neck, and pulled him into a hug.

"You stupid fuck," he murmured into Chris' ear. "You did it anyway, didn't you? You never listen to me, do you?"

Wolves and Boybands Mate for Life by merryish Because JC and Chris are meant to be together. It's that simple.

Then Sarah asked for my top 5 Chris outfits. Which means

It was difficult to narrow it down as Chris has a fine fashion sense, but have 5 stands outs.

This is just perfection. The patches, the shirt, the shiny bits. The eye make-up is a master stroke.



I love a man who doesn't care that he's miss-matched. He looks comfortable, and that has to be what counts, plus. I can stare at his legs and ankles with the outfit. Shutup.



Now I know some people will disagree, but I love this outfit. Unlike the one before, he is matched, bandanna, jacket, trousers, glasses. You have to love a man that will dress up like this.

It's the different patterns that I like. Stripes and ragged denim and trailing laces on his trainers. He looks great.







I picked this because it makes me laugh each time. Can you imagine his expression when he was handed this outfit? Not only trousers and shirt plastered with his name, but a visor too *g* I wish I could find my bigger version of this shoot, because I giggle each time.





I need to go grocery shopping now, but before I do. You may have seen the videos musiclover03 makes using her Sims skills. She does great work and this morning she presented me with a sparkly sims vid of my very own. It has multiple Chris'! And Lamps! And it's just fabulous beyond words and she rocks. I won't spoil but there's parts that had me laughing like crazy.

I love pic #2, but it's not because of the outfit...it's because he has the full goatee/moustache thing going. I LOVED that look on him. Goats are fine, but the whole effect is even finer. :)

It's the very end. When you and Anna were posting I'd gotten behind somehow, so pretty much read the last few parts in one go. There was so much going on and Chris ran away and JC went after him and I was sitting reading as fast as I could without actually missing words. Then they get together and drive home and get to the house and Chris is so worried and they've been through so much. Then JC takes Chris' hand and says to his mom 'I want you to meet my boyfriend' and just... man, I've set myself off again.

I swear. That story is love. It'll always be in my top 5. Always.

Goats are fine, but the whole effect is even finer. :)

Aww! Thank you. The end made me cry too, when we were writing it. And editing it.

My personal favourite bit is the whole part between JC going for the swim in South Africa, through giving Chris the blowjob on the aeroplane, and then finally back in the US telling Chris that he knows he isn't straight. Because that's when we stopped mainly torturing JC and moved on to mainly torturing Chris. Because there's something kind of sad about it, and yet I really loved the way he changed and developed as we wrote and, weird as it is, I almost felt *proud* of him. And then after that, we could really put Chris through the wringer, heh.

Talking about the story makes me remember when it was being posted. The waiting between parts and jumping on the next section when it was posted. It made reading the story so much better, like we were going on the journey with them all. Also frustrating, but those feelings have faded with time ;)

I can only imagine how much you and Kim invested into the story, so you feeling proud of JC makes sense. He changes so much, and that's the reason the end has such impact for me. If you look at JC then, and at the very beginning, he's almost a different person. Personal growth through hot gay sex, and of course freak outs, running away, break downs, misunderstandings, fear and angst. Much angst. You really did torture him, but he came out of it stronger, and with Chris :)

heehee! Glad I could provide some inspiration for your post. I had selfish motives though *hangs head in shame* I've been looking for some n fic to read and what btter way to find it than for someone to recommend it to me.

AMTHGF is (and I think may always be) my absolute favourite story ever. It's so wonderfully written and as a reader you're drawn into the story more and more with each chapter.

I've read every story except that last one on your list and I agree wholehearted with your opinions. Do you know I actually printed Wednesday Thing out? I put everything in small font and widened all the borders so I would kill my mom's paper supply. Can't say much for ink though. XD But the story just was beautiful and angsty and just... gah!

Now that I look, I also printed out Mysterious Ways and Into the the Fire. I've been thinking about printing out AMTHGF, but I'm plotting for when my mom won't be here to witness it all. :P

I'm going go read the last one I somehow missed. :)

Whoa! Printing all of those must have been a lot of work. I have them loaded on my palm for instant reading, but having an actual paper copy must be cool.

Man, I don't want to think how much paper and ink Absinthe Makes would take. Worth it though.

Wolves and Boybands is a great story. More light hearted than the others, but I still love it.

A while back I ended up emailing Linda back and forth about Into the Fire. The Raven society fascinates me, and she once got a *really* long email from me once just talking about them, so I've thought about this a lot. You can say it's trickyfish as Lance mentions wanting Chris in bed again, but mainly I think the Ravens are pretty much sluts, but in a non sleazy way. Sex is just sex to them, but Chris and JC are nest brothers and the bond between them is so strong, so tight. To me it'll always be trickc with a side of trickyfish. And you know? That's just perfect.

Man, that story. It always makes me babble on.

The purple outfit is so cool. Most of them looked good that day :)

That sim video was awesome. There were several times where I could really see them singing in sync with the song. It was weird.
