I've finally finished the first draft of my sparklyglee story. It's a good thing I have an in with the organisers and got an extension.

I'm happy with how it turned out, and know it'll be much better once my crack team of beta readers cast their beady eyes over it. I was worried about getting it done at one point. Though it wasn't his fault, James kept distracting me. Though man, the day he asked why I hadn't started the story earlier so it was done on time I nearly strangled him. It's just not that easy!

I have to admit to looking at the stories being submitted and being full of glee. Vaudevilles and I have made a challenge! I know, I'm a loser.

In none gleeful news. James has been signed off work for another week. He's still not at all well, though I suspect stress is contributing in some way.

I'd talk about Doctor Who, but my comments basically go to, OMG!

Lastly, thank you to everyone who are leaving comments at Corey's site. He's very excited right now, and keeps asking me to refresh the page. You're all wonderful for taking the time.

It's not a problem at all. We're planning on posting the stories on Monday, so if you can get it to us sometime tomorrow that would be fantastic.

But, don't push yourself if you're in pain. You're the most important here.

I've been trying not to push myself today, but man - the story deadline just keeps popping up in my mind, which of course makes me go "ACK!"

I've snuck online now while my mom is out with the dog. I'm hoping that I can get a couple paragraphs typed up while she's out. I already told her that I want to try to nap after dinner, so that once she goes to bed tonight I can stay awake and write.

You know I love reading what you write, and I love you for pushing for the deadline, but in the end. Stories can be posted late. That's no problem. So, just take care of yourself, okay?
