turpsWriting again, well supposed to be, in reality I'm watching the Recess marathon on Cartoon Network *g* But I do have The End 3 open,it's just hard going dealing with the utter misery just now. Daryl's grieving, Jim's feeling guilty, Blair is emotionally numb, on the verge of becoming pissed at Jim, Joel is trying to care for everyone and not thinking of himself, Abigail's a scared kid, and I have 3 OC's that I keep forgetting about. Just a regular day in TS universe *g*
Last night I did a part where Blair isn't really grieving for Simon. This is it
Squashed in the backseat, Blair shifted, moving his leg slightly where it rested across the laps of Samuel and Jill. He was hot, dirty and emotionally numb. Simon’s death not really real yet. It was callous but to Blair, Simon was only one of a multitude, one more death to add to the growing list. Emma, Simon, his students and friends. They all blended together, but for now it was the only way that Blair could cope. He’d grieve for Simon later, the crash from numbness to all too painful grief hard. But not yet, not when Daryl veered from rage to despair, and Jim looked carved in stone.
I read that this morning and thought, hell that is callous. Yet I think he could deal with Simon's death like that. He does care, just it's all too much to deal with yet. But then I think of canon, how when Blair saw tragedy he tended to react straight away, so would the reaction I wrote be ooc?
The thing is I have a plan, Blair is going to be numb, coping in his own way, Jim is bottled up too. Despite them loving one another they're totally freezing each other out. Then something happens, releases the cork on all the tension and grief and Blair erupts. Not in a crying fit, but anger. Anger that everything's changed that he can't stop any of it, and anger that once again Jim's pushing him away. I see a fight like Warrior's both men furious with the world but taking it out on one another. A huge stand up argument.
Hee I've talked myself into keeping that scene. I also know where the dog's coming into the story now. You all were a great help lol.
