There's been some fine stories posted this week, and I want to direct you to two smoking hot trickc ones in particular. See, I love my boys. Love them! Add in delicious sex and just, it makes me happy. The first is by [livejournal.com profile] silveryscrape and is What's New which made me fan myself frantically as I read, and I tell you, scrolling while fanning at the same time is hard! Then [livejournal.com profile] vaudevilles posted Steam which again, presses all my hot trickc sexin up buttons and then some.

You all need to go read, enjoy the trickc hotness.

You know, it's fun to be multifannish. I tend to only mention the pop stuff here, but I read in a lot of fandoms. After having the flist mention NCIS so often I caved and watched an episode and was sucked in discovering NCIS I've been reading a lot of fic in that fandom. I love that moment of finding a new archive and knowing there's all those stories out there ready to be read. Some will be bad, some awesome, some in-between, but I'll give them all a try. I'm also still reading Mag 7 stuff a lot, as well as the popslash, some bandslash, CSI LV, J2, and many other fandoms that I'll read when I get the urge. Like I was reading Voyager the other day, going back to my roots.

I have discovered that I like J2 better than SPN fic and realised that I'm out of practice of how to be in a media fandom. Not that I'm in them as such, I'm a lurker everywhere except in popslash.

The bf's son was here last night, and man, he didn't stop farting. I know 13 year old boys think farting is fun, but really. It gets old. I'd downloaded and burned an old movie he wanted, and he now thinks I'm some kind of movie genius, able to find any film in the world and get it for him. Which, not so much. He also put a crimp in my surfing last night as he was curious about what I was doing.

Tonight we're off to buy the rest of Corey's uniform. We're going when James gets home from work so hopefully we'll miss the scrum. I just hope we can get him the shoes he needs. The boy's got feet bigger than mine. Other than that it's pretty much polo shirts, black trousers, a back pack and school supplies. We pick up his branded items like jumpers and pe shirts next week. Then hopefully he'll be done.

I think I'm very much a serial monogamist kind of person when it comes to fandoms. I read pretty much only in the fandom I'm into right then, with the exception of the occasional story from an old fandom when the urge strikes me. Well apart from crossover fics of course. If you count those I'm probably multifannish too :-)

I think you get kind of spoilt in real person fandoms because actual real persons are so much more interesting and multifacetted than their fictional counterparts. You have so much less to work with and the focus is so much narrower. At least that's how it seems to me now.

I know people have posted about the different kinds of fans, and I'm very much the kind that never lets old fandoms go. Just picks up new ones and loves them just as much. I mean, I always have one main one, and that's been popslash for a long time now, but I have a load of others I go back to at times. Which sounds like you, just I pick up more old fandoms.

Yes, that's it exactly. I'm following a few shows that have active fandoms, and what I find weird is they only have those 45 minutes to discuss each week. I mean, obviously they create their own fanon, but RPS seems so much more. Richer and more complex.

Exactly! Which of course makes it even more hilarious when media fans say that there's no canon in real person fandoms!
