I've found a good way to lose weight. Go shopping with your nanna, decide a muffin and coffee would make a nice dinner. Enjoy your muffin until she cuts hers in half, gives the half first to Corey then James, while saying they're too filling for one person to eat. Which, hello. I could eat mine easily thank you very much *g*

The testing of MTYG has produced some fantastic fic again. I can't wait until people post so I can link. Honestly, the talent of people in this fandom continues to blow me away.

I was reading friendsfriends earlier and was totally spoiled about who was voted off Strictly Come Dancing. I mean, why do that? Not everyone gets to see shows when they air. Cut tags are your friend.

I had the pleasure of beta reading a wonderful Mutant X story last week. It's written by kaethe and it's here. You should go and read, because MX is an awesome show and I love it, and this is a wonderful story that I enjoyed a lot.

I've seen a lot of posts about the take over of LJ, and all I can think is, LJ can't win. People didn't like Six Apart. Now they've gone and they don't like this company either. I've been on LJ for years, and sure, change has happened, but change happens everywhere. A lot of that change has been great, and the bad I can easily ignore. Plus, just by second hand observing how hard it is to code an interactive website, well I have so much admiration toward LJ now. The site runs smoothly most of the time, and when it doesn't it's fixed asap. For a site so huge, that's amazing. I guess what I'm saying is. I love LJ, and I'm here to stay.

I know a lot of people won't agree with me, and if you don't that's fine. Just, no pissed off comments in my journal, okay?

As for LJ, it works fine so far and I don't get that people always start to complain when there's a change. Sure, some changes are worse than others (some are also for the better), but that doesn't mean that LJ is going down the drain. I say, wait and see.

I wouldn't be so worried if I hadn't heard too much about the way SUP's been handling the Russian users since they partnered with LJ back whenever it was (a year ago?) Seriously, sometimes my compulsion to always be informed about what's going on is really no good for my mental equilibrium at all :-/

See, I understand people being worried a little. I've been reading from links too, but I don't get the extreme reactions that some people have posted. Or the Russian jokes, because that's so funny. I just think it's not worth freaking out unless there's something to freak out about, and as of right now, things seem exactly the same as they were yesterday.

This is why there are some people I don't to restaurants with. There are many people around whom I feel like Gargantua just because I eat a normal portion of food *sighs*

I hear you about that. When I eat out with mam she'll eat maybe half a small plate of food, and I just don't. It makes me feel horrible when she's just sitting watching as I eat.

It really can't, can it? Whatever LJ does, they'll get wank in return. Each time something new happens, it's like the apocalypse has arrived... We never know what could happen, but why not wait and see for a change? I know I love LJ, hiccups included. Nothing is ever perfect, why would LJ be different, anyway?

I do hope nothing will happen that ruins my LJ experience but so far so good *fingers crossed*

I don't mind a lot of what six apart has done really, some of the new stuff is actually pretty cool, but I still want my opal layouts to work again.. Or atleast to be smart enough to figure out how to fix it. :-(

Thanks for the positive thoughts, Terri. I'm definitely here to stay as well, unless something outrageous happens. It's just that whenever you mention the word Russia in Finland, you're not going to get a positive response from most people. :)
