Finally back in the land of living after a miserable weekend. I swear if it wasn't for the hearing thing I would have scooped my ears out with a spoon. Total shooting pain behind my right ear, there was no way that I could sit at my desk, just looking at the screen made me feel sick. So I spent the weekend doped on painkillers and watching tv. Saw Titanic again and cried, Project X and cried, rented Jackass the movie and cried laughing.

Feel much better now though, well apart from still being a bit zombified, you know that state when you're on the mend but still feel a bit fragile. The fact they're digging up the road next to my house isn't helping. Drilling isn't good for a residual headache at all.

But I did get an idea when I was just lying about. A cracked out idea maybe, have to discuss it with Castalie, my TS partner in crime *g*

Okay, about to attempt the friends list. Lets have a bet on how many skips it'll be.

Thanks for the hugs, you're so good at them :)

Headaches do suck, especially when they're caused by ear infections. Adults aren't supposed to get those :(

My e-mail is still being an ass. I'd change my ISP but BT has been a good adsl provider and I'd hate to change. I've been reading the MX lists at Yahoo but I have to admit I'm feeling a little out of the fandom just now, and I hate that.

Thanks for missing me though, that makes me feel a million times better! As does your icon ;)

Hows your computer woes going btw? And Pat's? Did you both manage to salvage anything?

*grin* Well, I do offer a lot of them...

*winces at mention of ear infection* Haven't had one since I was little, but I do remember it hurting like hell...

If you need another email addy, Hotmail has always worked well for me. Nice and reliable, and you can use it with Outlook Express. If you're on a ton of active lists, though, the 2 meg Inbox might be problematic...

As far as the computer goes, we've got everything up and running again, but nothing on Pat's hard drive was salvagable - not without spending way too much money, anyway...

It wasn't a total loss, though - all my finished fic was online, plus I found a bunch of my mp3s burned to disc and most of my unfinished writing on floppy disk. (Including my original vampire novel and both my manipped pics of its main character - phew! *lol*) Also, Pat had a bunch of mp3s, and, oddly enough, my pictures, on his other computer, which we moved onto the main computer last night.

You also missed me going bonkers tryng to find a copy of yet another manipped pic - said vampire character's twin sister. *lol* Same image, different hair color, and no way in hell I'd ever be able to do that a good a job on it again. Fortunately, it was in the pics Pat moved over yesterday.

Not a whole hell of a lot going on over here other than that, though the week just after the hard drive crashed was absolutely insane in so many ways, good and bad. *lol* But Pat and I are doing so well that I can't do anything but smile - they finally got him on meds for his manic depression and it's working *wonderfully*...

All that's lacking is *my* computer being back in one piece so I can write, and Pat will likely put it back together tonight after I finish copying everything I want off this computer onto my hard drive...
