Updating on the car thing. The police came out, but despite the many fingerprints said they couldn't use them because the car had been in the open all night. Same for the garden fork, which basically means they're doing nothing. While I realise this is minor crime in comparison to many, I'm boggling that the evidence is there, and they can't do a thing with it.
Thankfully we don't leave valuable items in the car, so the only things taken were stupid things. Like the torch was keep in case of break downs, stuff like that. Probably a few CDs ruined, because they just tossed everything everywhere.
The insurance have been called, but because it's a mobility car they said they can't do a thing until tomorrow afternoon. Also, the local newspaper have been out, how they found out I don't know, but James has had his picture taken and been interviewed.
Still, it could have been so much worse. The central locks did their job ( from the looks of things they used the fork on the passenger side door, and when they couldn't leaver that open, smashed the window and climbed in that way. ) and at least the car wasn't taken. Whether that's because it was opportunist thieves who thought the sat nav system was in there or because they were baffled because the car is adapted for James to drive, I don't know. Which ever one it was, at least they didn't take it. Plus, James being off work means we don't have to worry about transport at the moment. So yes, that's a silver lining.
Thanks for all the comments and being angry for us. The threats of retribution and name calling helped a lot. :)
