What should I call you?
Some people on here call me Ter, and I get turps in rl, but most people call me Terri, because that's my name.
How old are you?
34.
Where do you live?
I live in a town called Houghton-Le-Spring which is in the north east of England. If you look at the map of the UK I'm just below where Scotland starts, near the coast.
What do you do with your time?
Not much to be honest. I look after my boys, look after the house, take out the dog. Go to the beach a lot and spend a lot of time online. Where I write, read and like to have fun with fandom. Fandom is my happy place. I also like to watch tv and listen to music and take long baths where I'll read and indulge in Lush related smelly fun.
I also go the cinema a lot ( when we can afford the cards *sadface* ) and bowling with the best friend every so often.
My life. So exciting.
What are some things you like to talk about? (in your LJ)
I tend to talk about whatever pops into my mind. Sometimes that's what I've been doing that day. Which is a whole lot of nothing mostly but I tell people anyway, because I'm just that generous *g* Sometimes what I've been thinking about in a fannish sense. Stories I want to read, stuff I'm writing. Ideas I've had. Sometimes I talk about things I like in fic. All the kinks I like, which are many and sometimes I'll happily decide I need to talk about neck biting, right now! I squee a lot. I'll talk about Chris ( most beautiful man in the world! ) Mikeyway, ( sex on bandy knock kneed legs ) Brennan ( sexiest mutant ever! )
Right now I'm talking about bandom a lot, because it's giving me glee! I post pictures, fic, memes at times. Everything I enjoy. Oh, and the badfic. I can't forget that ;)
vWhat are some things you don't like to talk about? (in your LJ)
I used to talk a lot about personal things back in the day. Not so much now. I have a lot of people who read this journal, and the vast majority will be here for the fannish stuff. Not for the real life crap. Saying that, those posts of angsty woe do slip in at times. If they do just stick it out, it doesn't take long for me to bounce back.
Also, meta is something I don't indulge in. I love fandom and fannish things for what they are. I don't want to dissect them. I'm not interested in the whys and hows and what fors.
I'm also perfectly happy on LJ, so I won't be posting threatening to leave.
Anything else you think I should know about you?
Hmmm. I don't know. I'm not that interesting. I like singing along to songs even when I don't know the words. I have a thing about mint sauce. I have to sleep with a fan on at night for the white noise. I read constantly, I have books in the bathroom, my bedroom, downstairs, in the car. I think fans are incredibly talented and there's art and fic out there that easily surpasses anything produced professionally. I love hugs and chatting but hesitate to approach anyone first in case they don't want me there. I find it hard to say the right words sometimes, and wish there was a way to say I've read what you said and I'm here even though I don't know what to say.
I comment a lot and love getting comments but still get intimidated by certain people which means I go all silly and lurk. I love the colours yellow and blue and climbing between freshly washes sheets. I iron sitting down watching tv and love that Corey still wants me to go up with him at bedtime each night so I can kiss him on the nose and say I love him. I love fucked up fic, the darker the better, but I also enjoy the sweetest of fluff. I'm a h/c addict. Seriously. Want me to flail over a fic, write h/c.
Many times I wonder why so many people read this journal, because man, I'm nothing special. But I'm so glad you do.
