Stick on the Radio... from the Afternoon Show had a pretty good idea for a video project... and it just didn't work out the way he saw it going down...
This is from Stick's Blog on WIRED... it explains the whole thing...
We had this great idea to post a rebuttal to a video Jessica Alba had posted on her myspace page. It was basically her and her friends lipsynching to the Panic song "Nine In The Afternoon" you can see the video by clicking this link:

I had this "brilliant idea" (according to my boss). Basically we were going to shoot a video, VERY similar to her's but with a twist...we had Chris Kirkpatrick in the video with the XL staff and the grand finale of the video was to be Panic At The Disco actually playing their song..or just to have them involved.
We felt this was a huge win win for all involved...Panic has this new song they are pushing and it would get them huge exposure on the web. We talked to their record label and got approval and heard it wouldn't be a problem. So we rehearsed and rehearsed and fine tuned everything to make it a seemless operation (because the thing had to all be done in one take)
SO right before we start filming, I remember my boss coming down the hallway saying they wouldn't do it. EVERYONE was devistated. We had worked so hard, just for them to say no. Why might you ask?
Management claimed they didn't want to do it because "they felt like if THEY were in the video it wouldn't allow for the concept to continue" If you read Jessica Alba's blog, they shot the video for a site called IBEATYOU.com it's basically a video challenege...the whole goal is to "one up" the previous video. We felt like this thing would be a SMASH on the web staring Chris, Panic and all the XL peeps.

I mean, I watched the video before reading what it was about and I immediately got that it was for the Ibeatyou thing, same as the Jessica Alba had been, and for them to end with Panic at that point would have been kind of... cheating? At least if they pitched it as an answer to the Jessica Alba one.
As for the actual interview, I listened to it expecting to get annoyed at the boys because I actually think they can be pretty obnoxious with interviewers at times, particularly ones that appear to be... a bit on the airheaded side. And I don't like when they do that. But listening to the interview, I actually got really annoyed at the DJ who was stupid, being an ass and who clearly had an answer to a few of his own concerns about the way the interview went and didn't realize it. There are interviews I can't watch/listen to because of their obnoxiousness, but this is actually one where I think they're not bad, just a bit cheeky, but the DJ is so completely uninteresting and full of himself that it just doesn't work. I was worried there for a bit because I can get pretty bummed out over things like the guys being rude or something, but yeah, I don't think that's really what he took it as. *shrugs*
Anyway, CHRIIIIIIIIIIIS!!!!
