There's one more Awesome April to be posted later today, and when I do that I'll post the month round up too :)

One more thing. Back when I started this I had vague thoughts about rolling on if it was a success, but then those thoughts fizzled out. But, I've been asked so, some thoughts about a It's Gonna Be May challenge.

First. I thought it would be good if someone else hosted it. I've loved doing the April challenge, and you've all made me so proud with how you've responded, but I think it would be good to spread the love. Plus, I'm sure everyone is sick of the sight of my name by now.

Second. I think it needs to expand beyond just fic. Offer days when people can sign up for posting icons, or a picspam, anything. Throw it open to crossovers and fanart and song mixes. The whole point of this is to show that the pop fandom is still alive. That good stuff can be posted every day.

I'll happily host all links with the Awesome April Page and I'm a master at wielding the sparkly pimping stick of doom. I know the fans are out there, and I know we could fill another month. For what it's worth, I'll sign.

Saying that. I know it's very short notice and it means someone needs something for tomorrow. But I have faith it could be done. So, anyone want to volunteer?

ETA: raynedanser has offered to host the It's Gonna Be May challenge! Also, we have volunteers to host for June and August. Man, you guys are fantastic.

Sigh. I would offer, but May is just gonna be too crazy for words, and there's no way I'm gonna have the time (though I'd hope to post a fic or two for it). I could probably reasonably offer to volunteer for June, which is a much saner month (and stupidly quiet at work). But May? Not gonna happen. :(

I will sign up, of course. And I would love to host in June. But I just can't this month! [wails and gnashes teeth]

Dude, just you saying there could be a June too makes me flail with happiness.

Saying that, I totally understand not being able to do May. While running the challenge doesn't take that much time you do need to be around every day to chase people up if needed.

But still, more you fic for next month. That's a total win!

I wants June. We could call it "The June Bug" or something. And yeah, in May? My sister's getting married, iconis is visiting, and there's many millions of gigs. So, er, I'm not gonna be around every day. At all.
