Thank you to everyone who posted such lovely things on the 'things I like about you' post. I was feeling a little blah last night so every comment was much appreciated. It was so cool to see people who I've known for years alongside new friends. I'm so lucky in the people I'm surrounded with, and I hope you all know how much I appreciate that.
And that's all I've got. So tell me flist of mine. What are you writing right now? Reading? Drawing? Doing? Anything fun?

Well, I talked to my contact Åke this morning, and he'd get back to me either today or tomorrow. And now when I came back from lunch, his co-worker who was the one who told me of this job in the first place was here to check on me. I told her my concerns, and she'd talk to Åke about it.
The one who's really supposed to be my supervisor is home today due to arthritis, and I still don't really feel like I'm getting through to my other boss, but we'll see. Also, out of less than three work hours, I've been completely alone in the office for over 1h 20 mins...which is against the rules.
I'm hopeful, though, since Helena said we need to have a meeting - and soon.

Date: 2008-05-14 11:44 am (UTC)That's good that you're talking to someone, because it sucks that you've been thrown in the deep end like that. Still, yes it does sound hopeful.
They're lucky to have you. They should give you the support you need.

*nods* Exactly.

It really does. The one thing I'm worried about is that the company will see me as disloyal when I tell the job center about things I'd like to change.
They're lucky to have you.
They really are. With the right support, I'm a big asset. Heck, with the wrong support I'm pretty darned good, too. ;)
They should give you the support you need.
They really should.
