I've finally got a good start on my JuC swap story. Which is a relief because the request kind of freaked me out a bit. It's going to be....yeah. I just keep telling myself I haven't been kicked out of the popslash fandom yet, so that's reassuring.

I'm working on a few stories right now. It's amazing how the ideas came back once the challenge deadline tension eased off. So I'm just working on whichever one takes my fancy at that particular moment. Two birthday stories, one challenge, one just because.

Good luck to all you guys starting [livejournal.com profile] bittybang today. I'm sure you'll be fabulous! I may sign up as a cheerleader for bitty bang. I don't know. I'm really not a good beta at all, but cheerleading I can do.

James hasn't been well at all this week, but he's started to perk up, thank goodness. Which did led to a surreal moment. I watch Kerrang when I'm in the house alone, I've been missing it, so when he fell asleep I changed the channel. So, he wakes up and must have watched a few videos, and later, when I was listening to MCR, he goes, 'you know, I like this band.' Which was surprising because he likes to say he hates my taste in music. Then he goes on to say he likes the video too, the one with the guy with the black eyes. He just don't know what's going on. At which point we had a discussion about Gerard Way's vision of the black parade. I don't even know, man.

It stormed for all of ten minutes last night, but it was enough to bring the temperature down, which was a relief. I even got some good sleep, and would have slept longer if it wasn't for the nurse coming this morning.

It was a bit of a day yesterday so I took off to read So Haunted in bed, and man, at one point James asked me what I was squeaking for, and I was, in an OMG NOOOOO!!!! way. It's a really good story, but it's also creepy as all heck and reading it at night when a storm was threatening wasn't a good choice. And the end /o\

I also read the latest Mutant X virtual season episode that [livejournal.com profile] ninjetti75 is writing for me, and it is awesome! This has seriously been one of the best gifts ever and I've been a failboat about telling him how much I adore it, and in finishing my own story in the series. But honestly. If you like Mutant X, which you should because it's an awesome show and I love it deeply, you should give Josh's stories a try. They've got interesting OCs and are just delicious.

We were up til 4am waiting for temperatures to drop just a tad so we could get some sleep. Ugh. So tired!

That really does suck.

It's time this heat wave broke.

Are you still off coffee or can you go drown yourself in a huge mug?

Off coffee? Me? When have you ever known me to be off coffee?

Still. Too hot for coffee now though I did have my cup(s) this morning ;-)

You were cutting down! I'm sure I'm not imagining that.

Or maybe I am. Maybe I am now 100 crazy!

Don't even. I know what you're going to say.

You do? Is it something along the lines of "you've always been 100% crazy"?

Because if it is, then I didn't say anything. *zips mouth* See? ;-)

I'm sorry about giving you a scary swap assignment! But, you know, you could probably ignore it and just write whatever's in your head and your recipient would be happy. So don't stress. :)

I'm SO envious that your weather has cooled down a bit! It was even hotter here today, so icky :-(

They do! Though I'm not surprised, he tends to like the heavier music. Him admitting it though, that was a shock.

I hope it cools for you soon. I was getting so irritable in the heat. It just saps all your energy.

My Chem - winning over the world, one person at a time. <3

(my soundtrack for France was My Chem, in album order, over and over - and *still* some songs make me tear up.

My emo, let me show you it)

Cooler air and sleep is such a relief - it was 33 in France, although thankfully my sister's house, being in the traditional style, deals with the heat pretty well, so I didn't melt.

I really love My Chem's music, all three of their albums are great, and I love how you can hear the progression of sound.

Cancer always gets me, it's such a painfully honest song.

Heat sucks when you're trying to sleep. I hope that means you got lots of it.
