Aug. 1st, 2008 03:22 pmI've finally got a good start on my JuC swap story. Which is a relief because the request kind of freaked me out a bit. It's going to be....yeah. I just keep telling myself I haven't been kicked out of the popslash fandom yet, so that's reassuring.
I'm working on a few stories right now. It's amazing how the ideas came back once the challenge deadline tension eased off. So I'm just working on whichever one takes my fancy at that particular moment. Two birthday stories, one challenge, one just because.
Good luck to all you guys starting
bittybang today. I'm sure you'll be fabulous! I may sign up as a cheerleader for bitty bang. I don't know. I'm really not a good beta at all, but cheerleading I can do.
James hasn't been well at all this week, but he's started to perk up, thank goodness. Which did led to a surreal moment. I watch Kerrang when I'm in the house alone, I've been missing it, so when he fell asleep I changed the channel. So, he wakes up and must have watched a few videos, and later, when I was listening to MCR, he goes, 'you know, I like this band.' Which was surprising because he likes to say he hates my taste in music. Then he goes on to say he likes the video too, the one with the guy with the black eyes. He just don't know what's going on. At which point we had a discussion about Gerard Way's vision of the black parade. I don't even know, man.
It stormed for all of ten minutes last night, but it was enough to bring the temperature down, which was a relief. I even got some good sleep, and would have slept longer if it wasn't for the nurse coming this morning.
It was a bit of a day yesterday so I took off to read So Haunted in bed, and man, at one point James asked me what I was squeaking for, and I was, in an OMG NOOOOO!!!! way. It's a really good story, but it's also creepy as all heck and reading it at night when a storm was threatening wasn't a good choice. And the end /o\
I also read the latest Mutant X virtual season episode that
ninjetti75 is writing for me, and it is awesome! This has seriously been one of the best gifts ever and I've been a failboat about telling him how much I adore it, and in finishing my own story in the series. But honestly. If you like Mutant X, which you should because it's an awesome show and I love it deeply, you should give Josh's stories a try. They've got interesting OCs and are just delicious.
