Did you know it's possible to burn eggs inside their shells?

I didn't. That is until I decided to have an egg sandwich for dinner, got distracted, forgot about the boiling eggs and only remembered when I heard a great crack. Rescuing the pan, which had no water left at all. I eventually shelled the eggs, and they were burnt inside.

My house smells of burnt egg shell.

The ways in which I fail are epic and many.

Also. Somehow my computer won't stop playing happy birthday. It was part of an ecard, but I've closed down the page. Why won't it stop playing!?

I am being driven CRAZY!

You know what makes it worse?

I was reading a fic this morning that mentioned someone's morning mouth tasting like burnt ass-hair. Now with this burnt smell I keep imagining that.

My husband reported that someone at the gym this morning was drying his bottom with a hairdryer. Perhaps this is how these things happen.

You are very lucky that the eggs didn't explode and send chunks of nasty smelly burnt egg to land all over the kitchen and stick to the ceiling, which happened to my mother once. Ewww.

Oh man. I have SO DONE THAT. That exact thing, with the eggs, and also once or twice I forgot when there was only water in the pot and the ACTUAL POT started smoking.

I, too, have burnt eggs. On occasion, when distracted, I've burnt water - or at least boiled the pan dry and burned that ... timers are a must for me, or I wander off and get distracted.

Yesterday I watched a YouTube video imbedded in someone's post and it wouldn't stop playing. It was Jared talking about...um, something, I can't remember now, but it just kept playing over and over and I kept hearing his voice no matter what I did. It was weird.

I always forget to put a timer on when I'm cooking eggs, and probably usually overcook them since I hate soft eggs. But never quite that bad. :)
