Belated birthday wishes go out to [livejournal.com profile] dine. I hope you had a fantastic day <3

You know, I feel my family should have had some kind of meeting to stop the clusters of birthday problem. It was my nephew's birthday last week, my sister's yesterday, and another nephew's today. Fail family. Fail!

It did mean I got to spend time with Lewis this morning. He turned one today and is this gorgeous big blond baby with the best giggle. For some reason he doesn't crawl, just shuffles around on his bum, and it's the funniest thing ever.

Because I'm sure you were all sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for an updated word count. If I manage 1000 words today Bob in Spaaaace! will be the longest thing I've ever written. Which is very happy making, but also makes me whimper when I think how much more needs writing. Whimper like my poor characters who are going through ANGST AND WOE!

I was briefly tempted by a bandom christmas fic exchange earlier, but talked myself out of it quickly as SeSa will always come first and no way could I write two stories at once and more importantly. Bandom fic exchange. This is me intimidated as all hell.

In other news. At the moment it looks like I got in a fight with a cactus and lost. I love Pansy, but her claws are sharp and she likes to climb up me constantly. I'm covered in scratches and red pin pricks, all up my legs, my belly, my arms, my chest. I even have a scratch on my nose.

To end. A picture I've been loving lately.

Ha. I lied. Because I feel you need to hear my story of fail. My dad gave us a Dyson he'd bought, saying it was too complicated for him. Which, awesome. I soon worked out the attachments and was feeling very smug, until yesterday when I tried to empty the damn thing. Would it open? No it would not. In the end, with James' help, the bottom of the canister dropped open and it was emptied that way. Is it the way you're supposed to empty it? I suspect not. But it's the way I'll do so from now on.

Bob in Space is becoming quite the epic. I can't wait to read it!

Oh, Mikeyway, even when you're blurry you're still the prettiest! *dreamy sigh*

I'm so proud of Bob in Space, which maybe I shouldn't be saying but I always said I wanted to try to write something long, and suddenly here's this story that's just stretching and it has a plot and everything.

Yes. He's the prettiest of all.

that is a fantastic photo - and yay! words! (and yay for victory over vacuum cleaners - so long as it went back together then that's *totally* hot you were supposed to do that.)

My niece did that too! She would wear holes in the seat of her trousers *g*!

My dad gave us a Dyson he'd bought, saying it was too complicated for him

I have a pull along Dyson and opening it is okay, it's the whole putting it back together afterwards that is a real bugger!

I'm not surprised at all. Lewis' trousers were getting some heavy duty wear today *g*

Dyson's are really good hoovers, but they really are complicated. This one has so many attachments that all need clicking into place. It's insane!

Woohoo!

Gorgeous pic of gorgeous MikeyWay!

And I love your icon, btw!

Okay so I have no idea what a Dyson is... a vaccum cleaner? Cause if it is, I suspect yours isn't the way to empty it but, hey, you should create your own rules, mate, so go you! *does't mock*

I knew you'd approve of the angst and woe. Soon I hit the big time angst and woe, then it's time to fix them.

I really like the picture, how it's blurry and so light.

Yep, a Dyson is a vaccum cleaner, and I suspect emptying it from the bottom isn't the way to go. But it works, so I'll go with it *g*

My dyson opens from the bottom. It has a little latch which triggers the bottom to fall open then you just close it again. Dead easy, dead simple.

So it could be the right way? Excellent!

Though it does make me feel silly for the hour I spent trying to take off the top.

where the plastic handles says dyson, the button there releases the 'cylinder from the hoover'? Yes? Yes?

That same button should have a spring and a catch and when you press it down, the bottom releases? That's how you empty.

To clean the filters (every 6 months), Where the plastic handles saying dysonn hits the top of the cylinder. Press there and the lid will come off. the Blue thing inside the yellow bit needs washing every 6 months.

Every part of a dyson comes apart.

Warning though - mine clogs at the bottom, the brusher bars. With my hair adn the dog hair. About once a month I check i and cut the hair away with scissors.

Bob in Spaaace!!!! \o/\o/\o/\o/

You poor thing, being all scratched up like that. Kittens are absolutely adorable but they do have claws (and teeth!) like little needles. And no idea when to not use them! But they're so cute you always forgive them :-)

That's a fantastic picture.

I have no idea how Dysons work I'm afraid. What does the manual say?

I'm so pleased with how Bob in Space is going. I hit a bumpy part, and it's still not perfectly right, but it will be.

But they're so cute you always forgive them

That's it exactly. Pansy will climb up me, claws digging in, then collapse for a cuddle so you forget about yet more scratches and puncture marks.

I love it. The light and effect especially.

Well, we're manual deprived with getting from Dad. But Gill's given me some tips so I should be set.

That's good to hear, having a vacuum cleaner you can't use would really suck :-) Though there is always the internet, perhaps they have the manual up on their website?

Bob in Spaaaaaaaace! I admit I sneaked over and had a look at Googledocs yesterday, just to see what had changed :-) And then I almost sent a comment but I thought, no, you sill woman, wait until it's ready.

And, dude, I know I enable the bandom fic liek whoa, but I'm going to have to draw the line at encouraging you to do the bandom SeSa instead of popslash. Because that would cause me to {MASSIVE SADFACE}

Sneak away *g*

The scene isn't where I want it to go still, mainly because I've been busy and haven't worked on it yet. But today I'll go over it again and hopefully finish sorting it out.

It's okay! Popslash SeSa owns my heart. I'll always join that first.

What gets me about vacuums is they're so complicated. All they need to do is suck! How is that hard?
