First off, for all you Merlin fans, I've had the pleasure to read along as castalie wrote her first Merlin story, and I've just seen that she's posted it. So go, read and feed. Virescit Vulnere Virtus

James and Corey are off to a party soon, but I'm staying in. One because I'm anti-social like that, two because I'm tired. I didn't sleep well last night. The heating had been on all day so when we went to bed it was boiling in the bedroom, then with one thing and another I stayed awake and James and I ended up watching a show about rich kids going on a cattle trail. That didn't finish until 3 then at 6 I woke with a nose bleed. Thankfully James was awake -- which is a whole other issue right now-- and he went for toilet roll as I stemmed the flow with his t-shirt. Thinking of which, anyone got tips to get blood stains out of fabric?

So I'm staying in, just me and the cats and dog. Tell me flist, what are you up to this Saturday? Anything fun?

Good thing you stayed, you obviously need some quiet time. The almost-sleepless night was bad enough but talk about a waking call!

I went out with a couple of friends this afternoon then got back and, as you saw, I posted my fic.

Right now, I planted myself on my couch, all wrapped up because it's freezing in my flat - seriously, I have two pairs of socks, sweats, a t-shirt, a long-sleeved shirt, a hoodie and a cardigan. And I have a blanket covering my lap too - and I'm reading fics, with Torchwood on the telly. Quiet evening ahead :-)

I can definitely understand that you prefer to stay at home after that kind of night! (Not that I wouldn't almost always prefer to stay at home before going to a party :-) No sleep and then waking up with a nosebleed, ick! I hope it's just a one time occurrence!

It snowed a lot here today, very beautiful but I'd to buy cat food and it was less pleasant to be out in than to look at. I've spent a large part of the afternoon making icons as you already know, and now I'm catching up on the flist and thinking of what I feel like reading. I'll probably continue with 'Staring Through the Demons' that I started to re-read yesterday.

To be honest, even if I'd had slept for 12 hours straight I still would have stayed home. I'm just not a party person. But yeah, I hope it's a one time thing too. It's not the wake up I wanted in the least.

Corey's just had to go run and get cat food, apparently we ran out when I wasn't looking. Thankfully we have a shop across the road. I'm thinking of re-reading The Holly Golightly Club tonight. I'm in a Pete/Mikey kind of mood.

Hi, Terri, hi! :D A nice evening staying in sounds lovely!

I just put together the new shelf for my living room. It's pretty but OMG, I'm covered in bruises and pretty much my whole body hurts (esp. my arms) since it was quite the adventure to buy this thing and get it into my flat yesterday - sometimes it really sucks to not have a car and be on your own. :(((
I still want to say though that my dad needed 5 hours to put together some simple new bathroom cupboard back home today and it only took me about 2 hours to put together the shelf that was supposed to be put together by two people. Ha!

Furthermore I should really catch up on the over a week of LJ I'm behind on but I think I'll just go and read some fic. *clicks on the link above* Totally what I deserve right now. *g*

I'm sadly probably not going to be up to much this Saturday. Normally I work, but my schedule has been changed to every other Saturday since we hired a new girl. Aside from that, I literally just woke up, like the bum I've been lately, it's 1:20pm...oh god. I may attempt to draw some bandom art today, maybe watch a little of the show Supernatural. I'm so productive!

Man, everyone keeps going on about this Merlin show. I'm going to have to track down some episodes...

I am transcribing stuff, mostly. Yesterday I went on a big reading glut and now feel like I need to contribute. Posted a SPN poem that's been hanging around, waiting for the reveal [it was part of a birthday project for a flister]. I'm pretty happy with that piece, and it's a relief to finally be able to post it. Mostly I need to prod at some werewolves. There's a certain blonde wolfy type that's been grumbling in the back of my brain.

I always say Merlin is a fun show, because it is. It's blatantly slashy but admittedly rough around the edges. Still, I love it a lot.

Sorry can't provide with fun Saturday night outings, I'm at work, very bored and I still have *checks clock* 3 Hours infront of me.

I'm passing the time by reading fanfics, unfortunately I don't dare to read some slashy ones, so gen it is.

Well, K. is working from 2 to 10 today, therefore I will have the afternoon and evening to myself. I plan on eating ice-cream (why do I crave ice-cream even in the middle of Winter, I'll never know lol) and mashed potatoes, watching some movies, knitting, napping... A niiiiice day! (I go back to work on Monday, therefore I try to make the most of my alone time today *g*)

As for getting the blood out of fabric, wash it with cold water and soap (brush it with an old toothbrush if it is on furniture for instance, soak it if you can - still with cold water), then use the washing machine.

Oh, the rich kids going on a cattle trail? I used to watch it *g*
