I've just been outside watching many, many red sky lanterns float by. They were so beautiful, their flames burning so bright against the dark sky. Not a bad way to greet a new year I think.
I hope 2011 is all kinds of amazing for you all.

Date: 2011-01-01 12:56 am (UTC)That sounds lovely. Here people just sends of a lot of fireworks. Poor Lancecat went into hiding around half past eleven and hasn't shown himself since. He really hates all the banging and flashing.
I really ought to be in bed but I've got a terrible headache that doesn't seem to want to stop no matter what I do. I'm getting seriously tired of it >:[

Poor Lancecat. We had a few fireworks too and the cats weren't that keen.

Date: 2011-01-01 03:22 pm (UTC)Lancecat didn't use to be bothered by bangs when he was younger. It started a couple of years ago and I don't really know why. I feel so sorry for him when he's skulking around the apartment and spending most of his time hiding under the cloakroom bench.
I've been perfectly fine today fortunately, but I didn't fall asleep until after four this morning so tonight will probably be an early evening for me.
