Corey and James came home yesterday. Then and their 6 loads of dirty laundry. But, it was lovely to see them, I miss them when they're gone.

They're still in bed but we'll be going off to see the relatives soon. Then groceries and the garden centre for more compost because the poor courgettes really need to be repotted asap.

I watched Toy Story 3 last night and the end made me tear up. Also the baby doll was damn creepy.

I've also been watching Battlestar Gallactica. They show two episodes a week on the Atlantic channel and to be honest, it wasn't really grabbing me until recently. I would have given up on it but seemed to vaguely remember someone saying it got better in the second season, and yeah, they were right.

BBB starts posting tomorrow \o/ So much new fic and art to look at, and then maybe I'll be distracted from going around and shoving the lyrics of Smash at everyone and going, look. Mikey and Pete happened. I'm a ridiculous tin hat, I know this. I also hope that Mikey sends Pete a birthday wish today, that would make me very happy. And even if he doesn't send one in public I'll be imagining him sending one in private. Or else using his off time to go see him in person. Yes.

Which is. Happy birthday Pete. You were my gateway to bandom, and if nothing else, I'll always love you for that ♥

ETA: I came back online and there is Pete/Mikey gardening awesomeness going on in the comments at LJ. Shinetheway is the best ever \o/

I had an excellent day. All chores done and I've just spent the last hour checking out a waycest tumblr, which wasn't productive but damn it was fun.

I'm so close to pushing my wave 2 plans aside and writing Mikey/Pete. I don't even know what, just, I want to write them.

Mostly something where Alicia is highly amused about the whole song situation and it ends with a threesome. A very hot threesome where she thinks they're both ridiculous so hauls them both into bed.

YES! and then pete, because he's pete, keeps making these terrible jokes and waxing around poetically in bed until alicia is all "OMG MIKEY! shut him up!" and mikey is >:| which translates to "oh i know just how!" and everyone is quite happy with that solution...

"Hah," Frank said smugly, and snuggled down in the fresh new compost. Beside him, Jamia arched a loop of stem protectively over two tiny miniature fruits on their vine, green calyxes still covering most of their surface area. "We get the good stuff."

Gerard rustled his leaves and pointedly aimed himself towards the sun, away from Frank. Lower on the bush, Lyn-Z chuckled quietly to herself, turning just a little bit redder. "Whatever. I bet we get the new potting soil next week. She does her favorites last, you know."

"Hey--is that why we didn't get picked last year AT ALL?" Pete said innocently. Mikey did his very best to hit Pete with a frond, but he couldn't help shivering with hidden giggles.

Gerard made a noise not normally possible for Britney peppers, Lyn-Z turned a bit redder with smothered laughter, and Mikey had to pretend that a sudden gust of wind was the reason his fronds were quivering so hard.

Pete glared at the cat, who was peering at them from extremely short range. She squinted in the light, then thoughtfully nosed his fronds.

"Mikey," Pete hissed, and tried to shuffle his greens out of danger. "Mikey!"

"mmmm," Mikey said blurrily, and soil twitched around his roots. "mmm. What?"

"That damn cat is back," Pete gritted out, and then yelped as the cat bit down on one of his stems, bruising the delicate leaves. "Ouch!"

"Bunny," Mikey corrected him sleepily. It was a cold rainy dawn, and there wasn't nearly enough sun for him to be able to handle Pete's little moods. "She's not going to hurt you."

Pete glared at the cat and cuddled his wounded stem close. Bunny rubbed her chin over Mikey's fronds and purred.

Yep, back and the house is back to being noisy again, and then back to the alarm and early wake up tomorrow. Still, they are a big miss.

I'm laughing right now as I'm not surprised at that. The second season got pretty dark, which is why it's holding my attention.
