Since the last time I posted my computer went away, and then came back actually working. Also, sucky things kept happening rl wise which I may talk about in a locked post later, but not now.

I'm a couple of weeks behind fandom wise, so catch me up. Has there been interviews posted I need to see? Have you posted something I need to read or see? Anything important happened in your life? Normally I'd read back and catch up/comment but at this point that would be insane, so you know, feel free to link, don't be shy.

I've also got an insane amount of new tv to watch, starting with Project Runway as that's the show I always get spoiled on for some reason.

Also, I have a question for anyone that uses thunderbird as their email client. I had to reinstall it and when I did so any comments from LJ show the same display name -- and of someone who hasn't actually communicated with me for years for that extra annoying touch. It's not really that huge of a deal because I do read them all anyway, but at the same time, I much prefer to know who I'm about to read before I actually open the comment. Any ideas how to fix this? I've tried messing with display settings but am getting nowhere.

ETA: _bettina_ is awesome and has told me how to fix the issue.

I went to my first Panic concert last night and Brendon and Ian took their shirts off! Also Brendon said Ian's a good kisser.

I don't think I've done anything special and I feel behind on fannish stuff myself I'm afraid. Well, Frank dressed up as a vampire at one of the recent shows - and in case the high-collared cape wasn't enough of a pointer he wore a t-shirt with 'Dracula' handwritten on it :-) And there was a reportedly very cute interview posted the other day but I still haven't watched that.

Also, thank you for the offer for TB help. Bettina managed to sort out what was wrong, apparently I'd replied to a LJ comment by hitting the reply by email button by accident, causing TB to match that person to every LJ comment and therefore display their name for every comment. It was very annoying.

As for Thunderbird, I had the same problem. What it did for me was that the LJ email address (lj_notify@livejournal.com) was in my address book with the display name "lj comment" so all the comment notifications were displayed with that.

Delete that address from your address book or alternatively click on the yellow star next in the header of the email notifications and delete it there. Once deleted, all the email notifications should have the LJ name + lj comment as the display name.

What I found out is that when you hit "reply" on an email it automatically gets added to your address book. So maybe, once upon a time you did that with a lj comment and just changed the email address in the header or something.
