I've had such a fantastic day. augustuscaesar is so lovely and I never felt awkward at all.

We've been to Blue Reef Aquarium where we saw many cool fish and lobsters etc, otters, but best of all, seals! 4 of them that did a show and as we were standing at the barrier we all got wet. But seals!

After that we went and grabbed fish and chips and ate them at St Michaels Island. Though as it was cold and spitting on to rain we ate in the car, because we're just that classy. Then it was off on a drive and a short walk along the river Tyne before hitting the discovery museum at Newcastle. Then sadly we had to drop Tara off, but not after a nice hug.

We talked popslash, Nick, and Lamp at the seals. Chris/Dog fic while looking at a picture in the museum. Fandom, Australia, so many things. I didn't want to let her go.

Now though, my feet are aching, I smell like otter and seal water, but I'm happy. A good day for sure.

And yes, you can laugh at me now.

YAY for awesome day and having all your worries be for nothing! I'm glad you had an excellent time, but then again, with seals in the picture, how could you not?

As you can tell, I am hanging on the internets keeping myself amused.

The seals were the highlight for sure, well after meeting Tara. They jumped and gave kisses and had frozen fish ice eggs for Easter. The only problem was it was crowded with it being a holiday. That's why we were smart and staked out a spot and talked for half an hour.

I started the day with a pretty bad migraine, so I called off work. Lucky for me, once I took double meds, I felt better (if woozy), so I have been happily playing on the internet and writing a Frank ficlet ever since.

Awww, frozen fish eggs and kisses! Go seals! And go you for staking out a spot and having a nice chat while you waited.

I knew my worries would come to nothing. I just can't seem to stop them anyway. But man, talking next to the seals and Tara informed me that Lamp is known in other fandoms. I laughed so much.

It is a shame it wasn't a little warmer, and dryer, but it wasn't that much of a problem.

The otters were splendid. Also asleep curled up around each other. I'd have loved to see them swim or move in the enclosure but it wasn't to be.

That's the perfect icon. It was yours and Kim's dog fic stories we were discussing in the museum -- there was this picture with a dog nuzzling a man's crotch, obviously our minds went there -- and saying how good the stories were.
