When I opened twitter fox this morning the last thing I expected to see was that Stephen Gately had died. His family and friends must be devastated.

Then there was the below which I've seen a few times on my flist. I'm not in the Supernatural fandom but I've been to plenty of cons and the thought of some sad idiot thinking it's okay to mock like that really makes my blood boil.

'Comedian' Jim Norton is staying at the Wincon hotel and tweeted thus:

The hotell is FULL of obese women who blog about ghost stories. Feels more like a herd than a convention. Fat bloggers. Yuck and yuck.

I'd never even heard of the guy before this, but I now know he's lower than a snake's belly.

Talking of low people. I was watching the X Factor last night and still can't believe what Dannii said about Danyl. Maybe he does come across as over confident but his performance was amazing. That all she could find to remark on was the fact the newspapers had been reporting he was bi. Cheap shot, Dannii. ETA: She's released a statement saying she was making a point he shouldn't have had to change the gender pronouns of the song, which yeah. But the way she said it was terrible.

More cheerful things. Overnight MCR has achieved daily communities for all five guys.
We had mikeyway_daily and daily_bob but there's now raytoro_daily, daily_iero and daily_gway. So you know, if you like that sort of thing go join, look at pretty pictures.

It seems to be an unpopular opinion but I like his hair. It's all long and flicky. Just no putting it into a ponytail, JWalk!

Ryan, though.... Ryan looks like he's about 12, and has just been abandoned by family and loved ones to strike out on his own in the big bad world with only his shiny silver suitcase and his extremely skinny legs to see him through. Or alteratively that he is being shipped off to boarding school, big bad world, suitcase, etc. (In either scenario, I think Jon gets cast as the plucky, streetwise one with the witty quips.)

Or maybe Ryan has been entrusted with an alien... suitcase eggcase, with useful attached handle? Srsly, that thing looks like it's glowing. o.O

I was fuming when I read about Norton. What right has he got to judge people like that? I have no idea who the man is and I'm glad.

I think Jon could rock the hair but he needs to guard against just looking sloppy. Like, if he would tuck his shirt in, then he'd be less at risk with the hair. Is my opinion. Ryan just looks adorable.
