I downloaded Elliot Minor's new CD earlier and oh man, I love it. I love them. Solaris. Give them a go if you fancy trying some new music.

I joined wrisomifu yesterday, a community where you pledge to write at least 10 minutes every day in November. I figure it's what I need to get off my ass and actually get the stories done that need to be done. If you're interested in joining you can do so in this post or this one.

I have a ridiculous amount of fic tabbed at the moment, including the vast majority of the h/c challenge stories. I was looking forward to those so much and haven't had a chance to actually read. It's to cry.

My dad unexpectedly came to visit this afternoon. I hadn't told him what was going on so he wouldn't worry, but my brother let it slip so dad made his way over. It was lovely to see him and actually get a chance to talk as when we're at nanna's he tends to get drowned out. Then not long after he left the FiL arrived for a few hours. When he'd gone I had a nap, because apparently I really am 5 years old right now.

I wonder if trying to translate and/or write out all those recipes I keep thinking I should post in my journal would amount to ten minutes work a day for a month or if it's cheating?
